will be first to get it, it's just not fun yet sadly
for the initial sketch adding Praise Humbaba! and Praise Mardok! into the category of life
I was welcomed to their meal of spiced eagle-flesh, and given water for my clattering gourds, and we partook in the smoking tree, whose tangy sprigs climbed the mountain-wall in the soft lavender of the emptying light, light that walked through the stones like a person, a friend.
rat-kind, fallen to lostness
part of the "world generation" is the computer doing turns before the player appears
I think I dreamt it which is sadly true too often these days
also if I'm remembering you did a really cool Irga that I spent like 2 hours searching for yesterday to no avail
Damn! This one?
so damn peak
thanks dude, was actually thinking about the beast guy you did the other day
have to cook up a bunch of skill trees before pinning down the demo version
adding these guys in reminded me that I've been thinking about the flame swordsman for 20 years
more folk for the Acts - once these all get entered in I'll have some cool little tech trees to show
a cyclops of mehtar
beasts were a fun entry point but now I want to do the expected plant stuff
it's really one of the big virtues of early access, not all games need this but I definitely couldn't have ended up with the game I did without 100's of people interacting with it in ways contrary to my unconscious play patterns
hell yeah
added them in as one of the "act paths" available to anyone, which I'm thinking can function as ways to establish the atmospheric texture of the world as well -- the Beasts are about hordes of tough units, gaining food, enhancing allied armies, and destroying your own cities
thinking about "beasts" as ancient illustrations, in anti-taxonomy, inchoate form or as the fervent aspect of Life
Huge
when your life is vitalized by the invati 248 times
Rightsizing my team of monkeys due to rising typewriter costs and sunsetting Hamlet at Act I Scene II
some poison vibes
cool design here
more UI work, clicking to move along a path
Haha nice beat me to it
A new dev I’ve been following just put this out in early access, it’s got really cool science-fantasy sensibilities and is a fully traditional roguelike for anyone interested. The speed at which they work is also very inspirational
some writing about the king
