she lead them to their classroom and they all walked to their seats. “good morning everyone,” she mentioned with a small smile, “i am gonna be your substitute for today. my name is hayashi, lets all go around and say our names so i am able to know how to pronounce your name and know whose who.ᐟ”

she shortly arrived at the cafeteria and stood at the room number that mr. kang usually was. the students lined up in front of her and were very chatty—talking about who she was and why there was someone other than mr. kang here.

those twenty minutes went by faster than she thought, grabbing her name tag she slung it around her neck—the strap being cute.ᐟ her lanyard was covered in sanrio characters and was colored a pretty, pastel blue color.

once finished with reading the paper the teacher had left, she had a couple more minutes—like twenty minutes before she had to pick the kids up from the cafeteria. so, she spent this time preparing the classroom.

she sat at her desk after putting the marker back. she searched the desk for the paper the teacher had left her—instructions on what to do with the kids and such. she soon found the paper and went through it.

she soon found her classroom and she set her bag by her desk chair. she combed over the room, before grabbing a dry erase marker and writing her name, ‘hayashi’. her last name was written in big, curly letters in the middle of the board.

“i am the substitute for mr. kang, where would my classroom be.ᐣ” her soft voice broke the silence, the office lady gave her a room number and mori smiled. “thank you.” she remarked, bowing politely before heading down the hall.

she descended down the drive onto the main road and made her way to the school—it was just a tiny little elementary school.

parking her car in the parking lot, she made her way to the main doors of the building, heading inside as she held onto her strap. she dipped her head at the office women.

leaned against the counter, she drank her water, humming quietly as she knew she would have to attend her first day of her new job today. she was a substitute teacher and she had her first opportunity to work today.

walking back up to her room, she pulled together a cute outfit for her first day.

the women sighed, tossing the blanket over while she sat up. stretching her arms over her head, she let out a softened groan, rubbing her eyes.

she stood up, slipping her feet into her fluffy slippers. mori then walked out of her bedroom and down to the kitchen, pouring herself a glass of water.
