No person has landed on the moon outside of my lifetime.
No person has landed on the moon during my wife's lifetime.

I find it mind boggling that both these statements are true.
(I was born in 1964, she was born in 1973).

My panels and batteries were fitted in August 2022. I've recovered 50% of the cost so far in savings.

The panels are probably going to out last me, so I'm not to worried about replacing them ever - unless much more efficient panels (30%+) come out, in which case it might be worth it.

It was definitely Tack Bell (which I'd never heard of at the time) when I first saw it in the UK on TV. Only recently have I seen the version with Pizza Hut.

I got one too, but I did set up an account to try out ChatGPT some time back. I found it mostly useless so haven't used it since.

It's looking like 7 years for recouping the costs of my solar and batteries including installation costs. Southeast UK. I had them installed in August '22 and have saved nearly 50% of the total cost so far. Most of the savings in winter are from charging overnight at cheap rate.

OMG How did I not notice this before. I used to work in the basement under the Harrow Club! I saw that window (from the outside) every day.

Several of the regulars in my local run a tab. Most of them seem to pay it off at the end of the session though.

I don't have one because I don't go there very often.

I just mentioned this to my wife (52) and she gave me a blank look as well. She does know about the series, but apparently not that well.

I've got a Samsung USB DVD writer that I've had for over 15 years. It's always worked well (with linux) for reading and writing CDs and DVDs. That model isn't available now and I don' know what the newer ones are like.

Our local council have been doing this for years. This year they have started charging for the collection of garden waste as that is not on the list of things they need to collect. Maybe these new rules will change that.
