Cooper's Hawk in a plum tree

I have a couple of bird feeders in my front yard that is frequented by many sparrows and chickadees, with a few pigeons showing up to clean up the seeds knocked out by the smaller birds. Lately this Cooper's Hawk has been showing up for relatively easy pickings.

My dog has diabetes, which I didn't even know was a thing. He's got a glucose monitor on him now. Poor fellow. The vet bills are quickly making me a poor fellow as well.
