Clearly for The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes as he didn’t get top billing on The Hound of the Baskervilles, plus Ida Lupino makes it obvious. :-)

Good to see Basil getting top billing

A selective Sunday shelfie with Stevenson, Stoker, Tolstoy and Verne.
Quarter bound in an imitation leather with a matte buffalo leather look over Dubletta cloth and hot stamping to the front board. The artwork is stunning and perfect for the story.
Saturday delivery from SST Publications. The gorgeous signed limited of Stephen Graham Jones’s THE BUFFALO HUNTER HUNTER with 6 full colour illustrations by Francois Vaillancourt. Thoroughly delighted with this very impressive edition.

It’s official.
The UCP are going all in on rigging the next election.
It’s unprecedented and unacceptable.
MLAs should have no part in drawing the boundaries for the seats they run to represent.
We’ll have much more to say n the days to come because, Alberta, we need to fight back. #abpoli
After the @theijf.org found Edmonton paramedics’ overtime jumped 81% in three years, staff from Premier Danielle Smith’s office messaged reporters and editors, claiming data was omitted and asking the story be rewritten or deleted.
At least one news outlet complied. @brettmckay.bsky.social reports.
Today, Danielle Smith and the UCP caucus unveiled plans to rig the next election:
A new motion indicates the UCP's plans to manipulate the election maps for the next election in their favour, and without any requirement to consult the public.
This has never been done in Canadian history. /1
Five alarm fire for democracy in Canada.
Not just Alberta.
The whole country.
Not hyperbole. When we take away effective representation, we no longer have a real claim to being a liberal democracy. If Alberta gets away with this, other provinces will follow.
I just backed The Haunted Archive - A Ghost Story Manuscript of M.R. James on @kickstarter.com www.kickstarter.com/projects/cru...
If the UCP goes forward with this plan to gerrymander Alberta's electoral boundaries, Albertans of all partisan persuasions will be called upon to push back. And hard.

Get up, stand up, stand up for Canada.
"This is not the time for half-measures, for staying quiet, or for keeping your powder dry. Use that powder. You can be sure the people on the other side — and especially the ones enabling and amplifying their arguments online — are going to be using theirs."
"It's way too serious for people to play it safe."
Is Alberta sleepwalking into separation? @maxfawcett.bsky.social says everyday citizens better wake up and take action before it's too late. Thoughts?
