My tiny mushers took a break from all their outside time to celebrate the Preschool Oscars! All the kids dressed their best to walk the red carpet and accept awards. And it was exactly as adorable as you’d expect.

And in true IKidarod fashion, they’re pulling all the dog cards and deciding which kid is which dog. They will never not relate to being sled dogs. 😂

Thank to @whiplashchick.com the IKidarod preschoolers got some Iditarod mail today! They are so excited and already spreading out cards and trading. So thankful! This was so sweet! #uglydogs

We celebrated Jesse Terry and On The Land the best way we know how…running.

They were fast. They were chaotic. They were smart. They were joyous. They were supportive. They were STRONG. And they were proud. And they sent out one last AwOoOo thank you to @blairbraverman.bsky.social for inspiring this tradition. And then they asked to do it again tomorrow.

Luckily, my team is no where near ready to retire. We’ll be out again tomorrow, weather permitting!

I was a quiet follower. Never commented, too shy to call myself an uglydog, but damn, it was all so healing and joyful. When we opened our childcare center, I only had ONE thing I knew for sure that I’d be doing with my preschoolers. And it became the best part of every year. Thanks, Blair.

I’m avoiding reading it because I think my crying may scare the children. I know it will be perfect and make me so emotional.

My sister trained my nephew to run screaming toward the pond any time geese came near, to chase them off before they landed in the water. Boy took it SO seriously that it was the one thing that finally worked. It was his sole mission in life. 😂
