I always look to Dan Rather as a journalistic link between old school mainstream (when that's all there was) and the post Fox News era. When older Fox News viewers from work ask about my protesting (with pejorative overtones), I point them to Dan.
What we aspire to as a movement, despite the right wing propagandists picture of "America Haters"! After all is said and done, we're the ones here to make America TRULY Great!

Important stories, each and every one. Most covered as well by Heather Cox Richardson, but the effort required to stay informed in a moment in history where it's never been more important to do so, can seem impossible to summon. Dan Rather does a great job here.
And the press is looking to make "Sense" of something that honestly can be classified "Senseless"...
It's not wonder then, that it can be twisted to fit any narrative that wants to be exploited.
