"Is this your secret, rich girl? You just want a hot femme to boss you around?" "You think that's a secret, Princess? With t*ts like that, you could have me on my knees."
"My mother and I don't talk anymore." "I'm sorry to hear that." "Don't be. She's a b*tch." "Fair enough. What a f*cking b*tch."
"She looks so beautiful beneath the stars." Alex smiled softly, her face set sweetly upon me. "She does."
"With you, I don't feel broken. You make me feel brave. You make me feel like I'm worthy of love."
For your consideration...some quotes from To Love the Stars too Fondly ✨️
Just two more days to pledge for the special edition with foil and pleather and printed edges! It's an absolute treasure of a book, so it deserves a beautiful presentation to match.
Thank you so much!! ❤️
My favourite author is kickstarting a novel and it is not only certain to be excellent, it has all sorts of cool merch and stretch goals and the cover art is beautiful and will look so good on a shelf. Also she's a lovely person that writes amazing books and everybody should support her!

❤️Why so serious? This book is irreverent as hell and f*cking hilarious. Navigating trauma through humor is the best medicine. You’ll be rolling from laughter as you wipe away cathartic tears - and that’s an SD Simper guarantee.

❤️ It’s not internalized homophobia to admit that navigating being a lesbian in this world is a scary thing sometimes. Living outside of what is deemed “acceptable” to society will always get you backlash. I’m so fortunate to live where I do and am by and large accepted, but not everyone is so lucky, and the religious trauma surrounding growing up queer in an extremely marriage and family focused religious remains an insidious shadow in my life.

❤️ I’m not (alas) a rich heiress, but I’ve always been open about having bipolar disorder. Alex’s story is very personal to me in that way, that of playing the medication game, therapy, and managing mood cycles. Bipolar can be ugly. Romanticizing it helps no one. But while it does put your life into hard mode, you CAN aspire to be something more.

❤️Terra’s story of loss, trauma, and overcoming isn’t, in the specific, something I’ve experienced, but I know people who have (and consulted them at length). But overcoming the types of trauma that can destroy you or remake you is a journey I know well.

A coffee cup with sparkles coming out of it like smoke. Text says: "With you, I don't feel broken. You make me feel brave. You make me feel like I'm worthy of love."
The spiritual successor to your favorite sapphic mermaid romance lives on, albeit in a different contemporary form. We launch TOMORROW. Pretty please f0ll0w my Kickstarter and make it the best launch ever? My reputation is on the line 🙏
Two female mermaids
To Love the Stars too Fondly is absolutely its own thing at this point, but there is some overlap and astute fans of both may notice minor similaries. So, Sea & Stars fans can rejoice!

The rumors are true, but it's not a secret! Patr0ns know that I started the Tortalgan Coffee Co series on Patr30n a few years ago, something that spawned from what was suppsed to be a one-off AU prompt for Tallora and Dauriel but turned into a whole series.
Allegations of plagarism have been brought against me.
I'd like to confirm that...they're true!
In short: *cue spiderman meme* Sea and Stars fans are winning this one.

What To Love the Stars too Fondly isn't:
- Rom-Com (it's not fluffy enough)
- Dark Romance (the romance is healthy, which is not my normal brand)
- Lighthearted (everyone is carrying some serious baggage)
What To Love the Stars too Fondly is:
- Sapphic (featuring two sad lesbians)
- Witty (Terra is relentless but Alex gets her back 🔥)
- Spicy (my narrator said she couldn't read it in public)
- Dark (the content warnings are EXTENSIVE)
- Deep (you will cry but it'll be healing)
Thank you!!
Ahh yay! Thank you!
