Frustrated by the miserable weather and by the loss of an hour, I actually went back to bed this afternoon, which is unusual.

Taking solace in the making of seasonal treats and a posy of seasonal flowers from the garden.

...represent Cardiacs, as my loyalty demands, with my lovely bag that I got at their phenomenal gig in Manchester two and a bit whole weeks ago. But I forgot to get a photograph in Aber, so here's me representing in my bathroom instead.

A nice day trip to Aberystwyth where the sun did shine and the wind did blow. Strange trees on the pier too.

I don't wear band tee-shirts any more, or anything branded really. So I was delighted to be able to finally represent Cardiacs...

Fresh Astilbe foliage.

Cowslip (Primula veris) and primrose (Primula vulgaris). Such lovely flowers.

A bit of a soaking to begin with. Otherwise, not bad.

Bleeding heart (Lamprocapnos spectabilis) coming through.

That's a goldcrest in the tree. I promise. You'll have to take my word for it.

Gorgeous cherry blossom, dripping delightfully

I ran my flat route this morning for a treat, but here's a photo from my hilly run on Wednesday morning over Dolgellau from above Cae'r Dderwen.

It was very wet this morning. I've been running for twelve weeks now and that was the first time I've got soaked.

Lovely. Right, I'm off to meet friends at the slugs for dinner. Toodle pip.

But we're back to hunting slugs and enjoying spring again.

There's lots more flowers about this week. Some pretty Chaenomales. Skimmia with abundant Magnolia behind and a meadow full of snake's head fritillary.

Good evening, I know it's been a little while since Michael has hosted a Frog Takeover, but we haven't long ventured abroad after the cold of winter and we have been... ahem... a little busy since then.

There were at least four seasons in one day today, possibly as many as seven.

Mawddach estuary overcast, and obscured by great titmouse.

We've put a bit of net curtain up which works lovely to that end. It seems it was a 'fashion' back in the day to do this to doors to make them look more modern.

Fashion has a LOT to answer for. That would seem to fit what they did to this poor door.

I did find a badger however, and that made up for a lot.

Then there were lots of lovely flowers at work.

Clematis 'Apple Blossom'
Lily of the valley popping up.
The flower beds looking blooming lovely.

In the immortal words of Kate Bush:

If I only could
I'd be running up that hill
With no problems

I tried running up a hill this morning. It was not problem free. I'll have to see if I can find a deity to negotiate with.

Levering the old, bright yellow, chipboard panel off the toilet door. Why did they want to hide that! Three broken panes, but they can be fixed. Definitely prefer what's underneath.

A day of two (or three) halves. Grafting a couple of Bardsey apple trees on to M116 rootstock for a client. Let's see what happens!

Planting potatoes in bags and planting sweet peas out. Look at those lovely roots!

Another amazing dawn over Dolgellau.

Another amazing day in Dolgellau.

The neighbourhood Magnolia is putting on a showstopper this year. Let's hope it doesn't get too frosty for a few days.

You weren't with us for the gig in Pilsen were you? In the old factory turned into some sort of community art space/venue/gym. That was all kinds of special. Good beer though. That helped.

Happy Vernal Equinox! I'm still running. It was cold but lovely this morning. I saw two kingfishers on the river Wnion. Very special!
