Finally got on a 379 yesterday which means now I just need a 57 to complete all classes of train in passenger service in Great Britain!

Our 153 gets detached here with just 156500 running back towards Glasgow! 🔥

Leaving the HSTs behind and heading up the West Highland line instead this evening!

Jumped off in Perth where I was joined by @trainfanmatt.bsky.social for a run to Aberdeen and back 🔥

Running about half an hour late because of a fault with the signalling system, fortunately I still made my connection in Aberdeen as it formed the Glasgow train

And with that journey from Pitlochry HSTs have overtaken 390s into the number one spot on my traction league!
Not really as the mileage gets doubled for two units but it’s still pretty impressive 😁

Back in Inverness for a couple of hours to grab some dinner 😁
Lovely lineup of trains now as the pair of 170s takes me back towards Aberdeen!
Last time I got the last Inverness - Aberdeen it was only 2 coaches so a 6 car is a nice improvement 😂

Should definitely go back it’s so good there!
Have at least an hour if you can and walk to the dam near the station, I’ve been 3 times now 🤣

Stopped off in Pitlochry to see a pair of HST powercars running empty up to Inverness! 🔥
Was going to head south to Perth but as that’s been swapped to a 158 and is running quite late causing a missed connection, it’s another HST back to Inverness for me 😁

Sadly what was meant to be a HST got swapped to a very busy 170. Took that to Inverness and now heading back down on another HST 😁🔥

A good start for today with required HST 43183 taking me south from Aberdeen 😁
Just 4 more required ones left now!

They’re pretty close but I believe Beauly is just about shorter. Conon Bridge might be shorter than Gilfach Fargoed too

Walked back down to Evanton which the trains go through but there’s no station ☹️

At least it’s a required one though, and takes me towards some HSTs 😁

Not sure if it was refurbished or not but I had one from Sion to Brig a couple weeks ago and quite liked it
