One of the many immediate-term issues is how student editors respond to an overwhelming flood of articles. It likely increases use of shortcuts, especially shortcuts to rejections. That will likely increase field bias (e.g., against articles on tax topics).
That's been my experience, too. I think there's a risk that a mostly AI-written article would reflect AI confirmation bias for the idea the author has going in.
I agree. And there are also of lot of advances in thinking that come out of the research and writing processes.
There are a number of negative externalities from this, especially as it becomes more common. Some of those fall on law review editors.
