This doesn't even factor in the estimated tens of billions of dollars the Iran War has already cost Americans, or how much it will continue to cost us.

Notoriously anti-science RFK def wants to cut NIH programs.
Notoriously anti-government Russ Vought deffffff wants to cut NIH programs.
Trump's 2027 budget proposal would pile onto our national debt with the largest budget hike since WWII. finance.yahoo.com/economy/poli...
RFK on massive cuts to bio-med research:
"I don't want to cut NIH programs. Russ Vought doesn't want to cut NIH programs. But we have a $39 trillion debt."
Where to begin with this.
Ruiz: You've reportedly been sidelined by the White House because "you're making the president look bad."
RFK: "Not true."
Ruiz: "You talk publicly about snorting cocaine off a toilet bowl seat."
Well then!
Rep. Raul Ruiz (D-Calif.): If Erica Schwartz is confirmed as CDC director, "will you commit on the record today to implement whatever vaccine guidance she issues, without interference."
RFK: "I’m not going to make that kind of commitment."
"Because you probably won't. You’ll probably fire her."
👀 Stephen Miller + Tom Homan are "invited witnesses" at a Weds House hearing on Trump’s mass deportations + ICE/CBP agents' attacks on U.S. citizens.
So are U.S. citizens who have been shot and tear-gassed by ICE/CBP agents.
Is this... really gonna happen?

RFK Jr. is testifying to a House committee.
Dem Rep. Diana DeGette tangling with him over cuts to family planning services.
"The secretary refuses to tell the American women whether he will let poor women used the contraception method of their choice."
"Let the record also reflect: It is 2026."
Hirono, points out Wright invented a nuke background he does not have. <---- ??
Secretary of War Pete Hegs... # © • 39m The War Department is once again restoring freedom to our Joint Force. We are discarding the mandatory flu vaccine requirement, effective immediately.
Make this make sense.
A screenshot of a post on X (formerly Twitter) by Magyar Péter (Ne féljetek), with the handle @magyarpeterMP. The post reads: "Until 31 May, the Orbán puppets may voluntarily step down from their positions. This applies to the President of Hungary, the President of the Curia, the President of the National Office for the Judiciary, the President of the Constitutional Court, and the Prosecutor General. On 12 April, the Hungarian people voted for a complete political transformation. If these officials do not step down voluntarily by 31 May, then — on the basis of the mandate received from millions of Hungarians — we will remove them from office." At the bottom, the timestamp reads "3:04 AM • Apr 21, 2026" alongside "19.9K Views".
Peter Magyar is not playing around at all. He's going to purge every single remnant of corrupt Orbanism. This is exactly how Dems need to be when they retake power.
(Hearing is Weds, not Tues.)
No response from the GOP spokesperson for the committee.
I asked the White House -- twice -- if Miller and Homan will be testifying in this hearing, and only got this response:
Stephen Miller + Tom Homan are listed as "invited witnesses" at a House Homeland Security Committee hearing on Tues about ICE/CBP.
So are people who were shot and tear-gassed by ICE/CBP.
If Miller/Homan actually show up, this will be... wow.
(Dem says "no confirmation yet" on their attendance).
As much as $63 million is now missing, say Dems, all of which is required by law to go toward charitable purposes.
This is the money that four Big Tech companies -- Paramount, ABC, Meta and X -- paid out in settlements to Trump last year, after he sued them for various things.
Trump dissolved his library fund in Dec, and Dems say none of these companies can or will say where the money went.
Tens of millions of dollars in settlements that were supposed to go toward Trump's presidential library fund are now apparently missing.
"Deeply troubling," Dems wrote to Trump. "Particularly given the vast tide of corruption" that's happened during this admin. www.huffpost.com/entry/latest...
We are heartbroken beyond words by the passing of our beloved daughter, Madison, 36, after a decades-long battle with juvenile diabetes and other health issues. She filled our lives with love and laughter, and her absence leaves an immeasurable void. We are grateful for the loving support of friends and family during this difficult time and ask for privacy as we navigate this profound loss.
Jeffrey Goldberg, editor in chief at The Atlantic, previously told HuffPost they're standing by their reporting detailing allegations of Patel's "excessive drinking and unexplained absences."
🚨BREAKING: Federal Court DISMISSES DOJ lawsuit to obtain access to Rhode Island's unreacted voter file.
In these cases nationally, my law firm is now 5-0 and DOJ is 0-5. Not sure how Harmeet is going to explain this to her "boss." www.democracydocket.com/cases/rhode-...
JUST IN: Aliya Rahman, the Minneapolis woman whose violent arrest by ICE agents in January was filmed and went viral, today filed a complaint against DHS over its agents' "brutal tactics and conduct."
A first step for suing the federal govt, which she intends to do. www.huffpost.com/entry/aliya-...
"You're just not going to tell us because you don't want us to know how much is being spent," Murray says.
"I just find it outrageous that, as director, you're not willing to tell us what those costs are. It's your job to know."
Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) later: "You have no idea -- none -- how much has been spent so far?"
Vought: "We don't have that figure right now."
Murray: "You can't even give us a range."
Vought: "No I'm not gonna give you a range."
Sen. Merkley: “Would I be in the ballpark to say we’ve already spent at least $50 billion?”
Russ Vought: “I wouldn’t want to make a characterization."
Merkley: “As the most knowledgeable person in the executive branch on the budget, I would expect you to have pretty good numbers on that."
Trump’s own budget chief won't say how much the Iran War is costing or will cost Americans www.huffpost.com/entry/latest...
Rahman has been through it.
After being violently arrested by ICE agents for no reason and left in a detention center where officers ignored her pleas for medical help until she was unconscious + a cellmate had to beg for help, she was arrested at SOTU for standing up. Really.
Tough cookie.
DHS has six months to respond to her complaint. They may not respond, or they may deny the claim.
"After that, we get to take this to court," said Rahman’s attorney, Jessica Gingold of The MacArthur Justice Center.
"Which we have every intention of doing.” www.huffpost.com/entry/aliya-...
In an interview, Rahman said taking legal action against the federal agents who assaulted her really matters to her, in part because she wants other people to see they can also bring such action if necessary.
"It’s extremely important we do anything we can to be a force multiplier.”
