Sharing my latest contribution to the Handbook of Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence: Human-Centered Digital Twins (HCDTs)! What’s an HCDT? It’s where cutting-edge Digital Twins meets Human-Centered AI. While traditional DTs focus on the mechanical, HCDTs emphasize human interaction.

Choosing the right colormap is tricky, too often, they hide subtle details or distort the data. Our new method transforms colormaps to boost local contrast and reveal just noticeable differences, all while keeping the visualization perceptually accurate and accessible.

This semester, I got back into teaching Computer Graphics 😊
Here is a demo reel of student work from the Spring semester.
I tried to make the assignments cross between technical and art.
I think they all did a great job!
