This is the same typo found in the game's English PlayStation (2000) and PC (2003) instruction manuals.
Compared to the @gog.com version, which had the typo but eventually fixed it quickly after it was pointed out!

It's been 3 weeks since the PC re-release of Breath of Fire IV on Steam and @capcomusa.com still hasn't fixed a typo in the game's store page.
Nina's sister's name is "Elina" but is misspelled "Elena" in the store description.

Love it! Makes even more sense when you think about the Disembowel skill and how the Breath of Fire IV devs asked the Street Fighter Alpha 3 devs for the assets for Akuma's Raging Demon.
