State of the world, exploitation of peoples everyday life by hidden AI data collection, lack of community spaces both online and in the real world. You know, the general dystopian malaise.

My husband was in Hawaii last week. He took the shot but I made the edits. Oh to feel the sunshine…

Believe them when they say: read the manual.

Let's be clear, I love my Olympus OM-10. It's my baby.

Me and my camera just aren't clicking. It t was great as my 1st & affordable mirrorless but as I take more photos and I learn more, I'm realizing its not the camera for me. This week I bought a new lens in hopes that it will help fill some of the needs that I feel are missing. Stay tuned.

I had no hope of saving this roll after it was jammed in the camera, I had to pull it out, leaving it partially exposed and most likely damaged. Here are a few shots I salvaged with some color editing and cropping. #shootwithfilm #wellalwayshaveparis #believeinfilm

Photography is one of those things I constantly fail at and u keep going back for more. I can’t say that about many endeavors in my life. There is nothing like getting that beautiful shot that just captures everything you’re feeling. I’m still chasing that high.

The job of a first draft is to make the work exist.

The job of subsequent drafts (and your editor) is to make the work good.

Seattle is beautiful in the snow. I’m just happy it doesn’t stick around long.

Some old, moody pics of Hamma Hamma on the Hood Canal. I think these were taken when I was fumbling through, trying to figure out my new camera.

Lesson: Don't be discouraged when you're trying new things. I am not good at asking for help and feel I should know how to do something. Learning and growing don't work that way. Give yourself grace. #filmphotography #believeinfilm

I took a day to write up an email asking which film failed to develop and how I could avoid it in the future. Luckily, the lab team was terrific and very supportive. They helped troubleshoot the issue and got my remaining two rolls to a developer who could process them offsite.

Last week, I received a notice from my photo lab that 3 of my recent drop-offs were all blank once developed. I was so disheartened and honestly confused. I was also so nervous to reach out and ask the lab to explain what happened for fear that I was going to be treated like an idiot...
