Still adapting to this environment here. I was an avid user of Twitter back in the day (08 era).
My cognitive abilities have changed since then, and fluctuate throughout the day. I’m going to miss TT with videos and CC when it’s gone.
info seems far more accessible there to me atm.

Maybe of help to others seeking more information on his ideas of healthcare and the dangers that go beyond his stances on vaccines.

“The world of disability services always feels precarious, a ladder propped up on wobbly foundations. I need Democrats to shore up the supports, not whittle them away.” My latest at @startribune.com

Hey @skylight.social! Really excited about the prospect of your existence and I hope deaf and disabled people can be part of the testing process. If it's not accessible, it's not finished! ✊🏼 (Click to expand video and see CC)
Today and in the coming days, remember
The next few days will be incredibly painful for disabled, LGBTQ+ & marginalized folks
I’m seeing alot of “we survived him once & we will do it again!”
I appreciate the sentiment, but gentle reminder that not everyone survived the first term
It’s ok to be scared & angry. I know I am.
Well, TikTok ain’t TikTok anymore already.
He’s a death machine for children. His healthcare for autistics is outright abuse. 😣
add another pipeline and label it Elon’s ego.

The new autism "treatment" Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy (MeRT) is classic quackery. Per Stanford's Dr. Lawrence Fung, “You’re basically trying to get money from desperate people who love their kids." No mention of understanding or of AAC. @sfchronicle.bsky.social

Thank you for sharing about this term. I hadn’t heard it before and will learn more about it.
Thank you!
Autism Awareness Month (National/usa) used to be in January until 1998.
The first April Autism Awareness Month began in 1999.
OK, back to #AutisticHistory timeline this morning following parent-founded orgs, legislation, private equity and so on.
I know this won’t help us with the incoming administration, but it is history and will have to bear witness until the truth matters again.
What would healthcare for our autistic lifespan look like if it existed?
Incredible!!!! <3 <3 <3
The image features a young boy dressed in a school uniform, sitting by a window with a distressed expression. Text over the image reads: "Complex PTSD, suicidal thoughts, low self-esteem, no confidence, won't go anywhere near a previous school, can't mention headteacher at all! Parent / Carer Testimony." The ICARS Report covers are visible in the bottom left corner, alongside the ICARS and NeuroClastic logos, with a website link: "theicarsreport.com" and the hashtag #DyingForAnEducation.
Children are being left with lifelong trauma from harmful practices in schools. Complex PTSD, suicidal thoughts, and destroyed confidence shouldn’t be the cost of an education. #DyingForAnEducation #AgainstRestraint #ICARS
Where can I find #SpokenWord folks at?
You can absolutely do this :) :) :)
LOL!!!!! OMG that would be rad!
Two more for my hedgehog army.
That makes sense. I like writing them, or the patterns. I used to love just various letters in the alphabet as a child like others did super heroes. Speaking is hard for me - especially when I go mute. Public spaces with sensory variants tend to complicate it all. :)
Me either! I’m not that brain type. Words though, I like words. :)
Listening to a podcast with @melissaeaton.bsky.social with Anne Borden King about the bleach cult. This is from awhile ago, but vastly important today with RFK Jr. and pals influence in all of our healthcare, not just us autistics.
