Do their accounts indicate what proportion of turnover goes back to schools I wonder… Fact it’s not a charity doesn’t mean it’s necessarily for profit - but would be interesting to know even if not for profit whether as you say it achieves its stated objectives…

Yes - has Fallon even asked whether they are fast chargers which would allow for higher turnover - or whether they are the interminably slow ones like at supermarkets where you have to wait 30 mins to get enough battery for a 5 min journey…

No - he was pretty clear he’d have suspended. I agree. Thought the sentencing was pretty sloppily done. If nothing else, they should have got in the reduction for G plea.

It’s a fantastic book. As is the sequel Time After Time. Essential reading.

It was just disappointingly superficial. Then again I may have to accept that 13 mins don’t allow for full submissions from pros and defence, fully reasoned sentencing remarks and Susan and Emma’s reaction.

Agreed on the underlying term - but young adult guidelines gave me hope the two years might have been suspended (two years is longest underlying custodial sentence that *can* be suspended).

Well I lost that bet! Though it COULD have been suspended! A kind judge giving more weight to the youth sentencing guidelines and perhaps with the benefit of evidence from a youth mental health expert might just have done that…

Oof - can’t remember enough of the detail to call that one. If I remember correctly Brian had paid for the pollution to be sorted…? So that might have helped. Also his offence was much less serious than perverting the course of justice.
