Recently, we sent letters to airlines we represent asking them to join us in stopping a low odor oil from hitting the market while encouraging the certification of oils like TN 940SE that are removing harmful toxins.

Contaminated bleed air events have been an issue for decades. One of the contributors is heated engine oil. Crews can identify the onset of a fume event & respond accordingly by smelling the odor of the heated engine oil (typically described as “dirty socks” & “foul”).

Workers have a right to form & join unions and to bargain first contracts but the reality is it’s still too hard.
