While demanding jobs keep her parents out of town frequently, the high expectations are never too far away. But the empty house doesn't bother her too much.
She is often a faculty favorite, much to the frustration of her rival Adalyn Sharp.
Joining Podcast Club was an unexpected extracurricular for Vivey, but the dream team of Ags and Toby Finn couldn't be passed up.
Vivey Ortiz, or Genevieve if you want to be obnoxiously formal, is a recent transplant to Youngvale from the "Big City". 18 year old Vivey is completing her senior year at Youngvale High - an academic overachiever, Vivey has a planner notebook for every instance.

As a comic writer who hires artists for my projects, I've had the privilege of looking over comic artist portfolios in person and online.
I thought it might be helpful to share some of what I look for as I go through portfolios in order to help those of you who are newer.

It's a screenshot of an audio editing screen, with 4 voice tracks showing broken up wavelengths of a back and forth conversation. There's simply no way to know what's being said from this image alone. Hence the inefficacy of it as a WIP sneak peek.
The toughest part of audio editing is that I can't show interesting WIPs along the way to prove I'm not just taking week-long naps.

I guess I just lament the fact that people, whether en masse or in positions of power and authority to make decisions, really just don't care about being decent or fair or considerate. Today, I'm just sad that selfishness is apparently in contention to be humanity's defining attribute.
There are so many issues with ai but the thought on my mind today is just the general.... wrongness of it, and the complicity in that wrongness in the name of money. As if society has ever done the thing that is decent rather than the thing that is easy and exploits others to make a quick buck.

if you're sharing your comic for free, someone's gonna complain about something unimportant at some point, the schedule, the style, a color choice etc. and I NEED you to know
that you can tell them to give you a million dollars to do it to their specifications
Don't write for an audience. Make the comic for you. Feed your brainworms. Make it something you would read and obsess over forever. You'll be working on this thing for a long time, if you lose interest halfway through, then the rest becomes a slog.
