-drawing from life is the ONLY path to learn abstraction

-there are no hacks to get good. there are conveniences and polish, but nothing improves drawing except for experience

BTW, if you ever see an artist, no matter how good they are, go on tiktok/insta and do any of the following

-ink lineart without a sketch or construction
-say they don't use references
-give you an unfollowable 3-step process for something

they are not someone you should be learning from
