I'm helping to lead a group of Senate Democrats who are planning to force a vote - every single week the Senate is in session - to end the war in Iran. We have that right under the Senate rules, and we are going to keep putting Republicans on record supporting this insane war.

Let’s stop softening the language. The pregnant detainees in the Texas ICE camp are children.
They are not “young women.” They are minors.
If pregnancies occurred while they were detained, every ICE officer must be investigated for child sexual assault.
These children must be freed.

Robert Mueller, a Vietnam veteran with a bronze star for heroism, and a purple heart has passed away. Perhaps his biggest honor was trying to save our democracy. I REFUSE to let him be a punchline for our deranged president. Robert Mueller was a hero and may he rest in peace and watch over us. Amen.

Starbucks can end this today: bargain in good faith, resolve unfair labor practices, and stop the union-busting.
Until then, workers are holding the line! #NoCoffeeNoContract
Can’t believe the whole country has to suffer through the return of Dickensian childhood diseases because the worst, most ignorant attention-demanders decided other people’s expertise makes them feel bad
Really loved THE CHRISTMAS MARKET. Kanika Ambrose has such an impressive way of writing about Canadian immigration – she highlights the inequities baked into this country's systems without weighing down her stories or characters.

David Griffin: These drawings extend my fixation with geometry as an incredibly fruitful drawing method — reductive but expansive at the same time. The purpose for Art, the reason we do it, is understanding; understanding how language works as a sense conductor or understanding what we can say to each other, among other things. | Joseph Muscat: More than meets the I or Plusque ce que je vois is an intended pun, un jeu de mots. I wanted to visually explore the various hidden depths, situations and complexities of our realities in our day and age. We live in a time of Artificial Intelligence, Chat GPT and Deepfake, where reality is always on shaky ground and may never be what it seems. | Karen Klee-Atlin: Much of my work depicts the natural world, and for close to 15 years, I have worked mainly in reductive woodcuts, linocuts and monoprints made from used plates. I began as a painter, but I have found my perfect medium with these techniques. The measured steps it takes to work in reduction relief allow me the time to consider line, shape and colour interactions. There is also the tension of, after making a cut, there’s no going back.

Today we pause to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who served and those who continue to serve. Their stories remind us of the cost of peace and the responsibility we carry to uphold it.
Did you know that in Canada, if a budget doesn’t pass the government doesn’t shut down?
Federal workers aren’t furloughed.
Funding for social services doesn’t dry up.
Failure to pass a budget triggers an election.
It puts the politicians jobs on the line.
They get the budget passed.
One of these things is not like the other. Not sure how Poilievre's Conservatives can even pretend they are wrapping themselves in the Canadian flag when half of them are Trumpists. #cdnpoli
PM Mark Carney was talking about attracting foreign investment to Canada and listed reasons Canada is a good place to invest. A reporter pointed out that the U.S. has those things, too. What sets Canada apart?

I'll never forget seeing OUR PLACE in 2022. Kanika Ambrose's understanding of the Canadian immigration system was clever and devastating, and written like a piece of music.
Kanika opens two new plays this month: THE CHRISTMAS MARKET and MOONLIGHT SCHOONER.
