Same, for Queen of Katwe.
The cast of #Novocaine share which TV show they're obsessed with and just like us - it's #Severance.
MOVIE CALENDAR: Happy New Year, friends! Here's a current snapshot of major and notable theatrical film releases for 2025, 2026 and 2027. What are your most anticipated movies?
Leaving work in December just hits differently…
An upside down Statue of Liberty brilliantly foreshadows the story to come. Watching it reminded me that Adrien Brody is one of our best and most under appreciated actors. See it in 70mm on the big screen if you can!
Brady Corbet’s #TheBrutalist is a tremendous piece of work. Big, sprawling, meticulously crafted — every shot is striking and folds into the narrative, all of it bolstered by a score that is both triumphant and frightening.
People say to me all the time that they’re going to wait to watch a movie until it’s available “for free” on Netflix or Max or wherever. You know you pay for Netflix, right? Monthly fee does not equal free.
BOX OFFICE: Biggest Thanksgiving Weekend Ever!
- #Moana2 posts best Black Friday BO ever ($54.5M), on way to best 5-day opening of all time ($215-220M).
- All films to post $400M+ over the Thanksgiving holiday, making it the highest grossing in history, topping Thanksgiving 2018.
Creature Commandos!!
You should rent out your apartment theater with bonus curated commentary from you for extra money
THIS IS COOL: In Korea, you can get your own private suite at the movies. It’s called “Private Box” and it runs around $50 for 2. Have a great time at the movies this holiday weekend!
This year’s A24 holiday box comes with a glass for milk and some cookies, but something tells me it’s not meant for Santa 😉
(p.s. Babygirl is in theaters this Christmas)
Every episode of #StarWars #SkeletonCrew and who’s directing. What a lineup of filmmakers for this show - now debuting a day early on Dec 2 at 6pmPT/9pmET. Press got a look at the first 3 episodes in advance. More to come…
Nosferatu is a Christmas movie
BOX OFFICE: #Wicked wins the weekend w/ $114M (domestic), $164M (worldwide). That is:
- The biggest opening ever for a Broadway adaptation
- The 3rd biggest opening of the year (domestic)
- 4th biggest opening for a musical worldwide
- Biggest pre-Thanksgiving weekend since 2013
I’ll never understand why people use the word “hate” when responding to a film. “Hate” is such a strong, ugly, angry word, and it’s just a movie. You may not care for it or it didn’t work for you, but hate? I hate cancer. I hate bad people. I never hate movies.
One of my favorite Q&As of the year so far - with GLADIATOR 2 stars Paul Mescal, Fred Hechinger, Connie Nielsen and Denzel Washington. Some really great stories told, especially from Denzel. Spike Lee was in the crowd too! It was a cool night.
Early screenings of #WickedMovie have already pushed the film to Verified Hot status on @RottenTomatoes before the review embargo drops later today. It is currently Verified Hot at 99%. 🔥 🍅
Fully Team Nightbitch, I enjoyed this one and I think Amy Adams crushes it
The FYC packages are rolling in - today we had dueling animated movies vying for nominations: Inside Out 2 and Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl (which I just watched and loved)
NEW: Parker Finn’s #Smile2 will be available to watch at home starting tomorrow, 11/19. Over 40 hours of bonus footage, including a directors commentary
Cobra Kai S6 Part Two is better than Part One. Also some of the best fighting we’ve ever seen from the series imo
Haha ok
I dug it, he was definitely creepy and I thought he was used just enough so that he was mysterious and scary throughout. His is a character you don’t want to overuse because then it loses intrigue. We never quite get a good look and that was a smart choice
What do you call a post on this app? Like I just blue sky’d my Nosferatu reaction? Is there a term for posts here?
Lily-Rose Depp delivers one of the year’s most memorable performances in Robert Eggers’ #Nosferatu, a completely immersive slow-burn horror jam that grabs you by the throat and never lets go. Gorgeous, unsettling cinematography matches this feeling of dread and dark romance throughout. Dug it lots
