Have you scratched the Rust itch yet? This would be a mighty learning project. You could do the CLI cross platform and/or a UI that runs natively (cross platform) and in the browser, e.g. github.com/emilk/egui egui is also embeddable, e.g. into the Beast emulator maybe?
