Honestly pretty incredible that the dub has been honestly on par with the JP voice work in a lot of ways despite the messed up line here or there considering the simuldub conditions. It even fixes some of the lines Aniplex gets wrong in their translation.

The dub says “I figured you’d be a worldly king, but you surpass all expectations.”
So it seems much closer to what Kaleido did.

“Obviously, you in no way seem to be a god. Your ties with god would connect misfortune, had you any that forced connection, might have allowed me to mimic that guise of yours.”

So no “karma” just “misfortune.”

Is he saying he would use a theory that it was all a God-guided accident to become him?

The real problem is the dub saying “Without the blessing of Hades… it cannot win against a divine beast.”
