@support.bsky.team On iPad app, when I click to open an image, the feed jumps back to the top every time I close it. Makes the app almost unusable. Is this a known issue you are working on?

Our Agave’s “death bloom” in our back yard in phoenix. This happens after about 7 years. The agave will die, but drop seeds to bring new life first.
Why do I have to pretend that I'm going to print something in order to save it as a PDF. Why do I have to engage in a little ruse.
You just never get used to seeing a POTUS behave like that. This one thing, one time, would’ve been disqualifying for any other President.

Depression? Isn't that just a fancy word for feeling “bummed out?”

Introducing our new logo. Inspired by Wright’s use of the square, it represents both his remaining buildings and the community dedicated to preserving them. The missing square reminds us of the loss when even one is demolished. Learn more about our new visual identity: savewright.org/frank-lloyd-...

They’re both about meat, going low and slow, big breasts (turkey), small breasts (chicken), and getting hot and sweaty. But, I’ll stick with the BBQ.

People who come for the first time shouldn’t feel like they stumbled into a secret club.
Especially if we want them to come back—and bring others with them.

We don’t need to flatten or dumb things down.
But we do need to help people navigate the experience.
That might mean explaining unfamiliar traditions.
Or welcoming different expressions of enthusiasm.
Or just making it easier to show up without feeling small.

A lot of new audience-building efforts focus on programming or promotions.
But the biggest barrier might be the experience itself.
If the first visit makes them feel out of place or underinformed, they won’t come back. No matter how good the art is.
If new audiences are the future of the arts, why do we keep making them feel like they don’t belong?
My new post looks at how orgs can welcome people who are curious but unsure—without shaming, gatekeeping, or making it harder than it has to be.

Whether you’re a nonprofit looking to expand your reach, or a business looking to lead with purpose, strategic partnerships rooted in shared values and goals can turn connection into real-world change.
Some organizations rise on their own. Most rise farther—and stronger—with partners.
When we align our values—and our efforts—something bigger happens. We serve the mission better. We amplify impact. We lift each other up.

In the nonprofit world, competition is often a necessity—especially for funding. But when our missions and values align, collaboration serves the greater good.We don’t all need to rise alone. And we don’t all benefit when others sink.
A true mission should move people.
It should show how the world is better because you exist.
If your mission reads like an elevator pitch, it’s time to rewrite it.

A mission statement isn’t just a description.
It’s a declaration—of purpose and impact.
But here’s where so many arts orgs get stuck:
They describe what they do... and stop there.
What’s missing is the why—and the impact of success.

That’s why your messaging—and your decisions—have to go deeper.
You can’t assume people just “get it.” You have to crack it open and show them.
The guts. The heart. The reason it matters.
