It's insulting that media, and even Democratic politicians keep calling Trump's threats of annexation, promise of trade war, and support for seditionists "insults". It's threats. It's aggression. It's an attack.
This really feels like a lack of empathy or regard for non-Americans as actual people.

I’m not sure there’s actually anything more damning I could say about the American press that ‘protesting Trump at fancy dinner with First Amendment pocket square’ doesn’t already
Extremely normal and fine for a company to put this in a public statement

This is every single Israeli ceasefire, including the recent one in Gaza. Somehow they get to keep shooting and everyone else has to cease.
The Israeli army struck civilians in the Lebanese city of Mayfadoun.
And then, the Israelis double-tapped the medics who arrived onto the scene.
And then, they triple-tapped the next wave of medics.
And then, they did it one more time for good measure.
I don't. They helped businesses that wanted to, but I don't recall them outright doing marketing for ISPs / computer manufacturers like this.

I'm not Christian I don't go to church anymore, and my astor died, but when he was alive I'd sometimes go to his sermons and I remember one time he said, "it feels good to hate, but we know it isn't allowed, so when we're told we're allowed to hate someone we get so excited that we forget we are supposed to love", and if my humble atheist self might borrow some church talk I'd perhaps like to submit that. Anyhow sometimes on the day to day I feel disgust or revulsion and I have to ask myself, "is this a danger to anyone at all or am I just looking for something to hate?" And a solid 98/100 times it's the latter so once again thank you pastor D
Listen, I feel for this guy and his family, but there's something incredibly American about the fact that the key takeaway from this story being, "Don't shop at Target."
People. You have some systemic issues that cannot be addressed through individual consumer choices.
- Increases and prolongs reliance on fossil (so next crisis hurts even more)
- Often doesn't pass through to consumers (fossil co's just pocket it)
- Benefits enjoyed more by the rich (who drive bigger cars longer distances)
- Decreases gov't revenue so you end up paying for it in different ways

Striking that the Liberals and Conservatives offer the same response to pain at the pump: siphon money out of the public purse instead of Big Oil’s profits.
The main risk to Narwhals and everything else in the arctic right now is climate change. Don't suppose she can talk her husband into giving up on AI and mass rocket production?
"not as a replacement for the creative work", but wording it like they did actually use it to replace creative work. Outstanding. Valve needs some actual rules for this field.

I think there's still more holdouts than people think. The inertia and tendency towards the status quo gives a lot of politicians short-term memory. And there's even right-wing types who sympathize with Trump.
A historical oil crisis is hard to forget though.
Including allies like Japan, who are in an incredibly precarious position with respect to oil supplies
Maybe this gets other nations to cooperate but I can imagine the long-term impact being even worse for US soft power
I’d like dental care and to not have to wait in line for 36hrs to get a passport, but you do you. I guess.
Twitter user sarvielle: please do NOT aim for more than 10k steps a day. i know it seems like an ‘easy quick fix’ but i’m telling you, your body is NOT made to endure this much stress on a daily basis. you will hurt your joints and cause lasting, painful damage. DO NOT DO EXTREME THINGS TO YOUR BODY
