#NationalLibraryWeek #LibraryJoy I love our public libraries & am so grateful for them. We have a big election going on in VA & I love that I got to vote at my local library.

#NationalLibraryWeek #FreedomToRead āA library is a house of hope. Itās a place where we all, whatever our situation, can feed our ideas and develop our dreams.ā ā Doug Wilhelm
This is where actual school librarians, not library assistants, would be valuable. Too bad a lot of school districts decided they were expendable.

#SomethingGood Watching Artemis II was so joyful & positive! Thank goodness we still have the Big Bear Eagle Nest Cam! Weāve been watching the nest at our ES library.
Every single one of the astronauts who went to the moon and back on Artemis II was educated at a public school.
Thinking of the teachers who poured into Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen tonight. You helped send a kid to the moon!

#FundSTEAM #Artemis #SchoolLibraries One of the many things I love about being a TL is that we are still able to do student centered learning. We were discussing the Artemis mission & several students hadnāt seen the launch so we watched it & had a great discussion! #LibraryJoy
& believe it
Incubator with a sign that states Shhh chicks growing look, donāt touch.
Incubator with chicken eggs.
#SchoolLibrary Let the fun begin! We are hatching chicks in our ES library! š£š„
Unfortunately, that is beyond our PTAās budget. We have a fabulous & supportive PTA & I know they would if the could.
I definitely need some updated technology. I have a very old projector & screen.
I would love a budget for furniture too.
Sofa, chairs & soft benches.
A8 #TLSkyChat I think having flexible seating is important. The furniture I have bought can move easily & be reconfigures. The older kids really like this space to chat, hang out, read & play card games.
Our county just started putting shelves w wheels in our new libraries. I do wish I had them.
A6 #TLSkyChat I really donāt know. We get a reasonable budget for books & library supplies but any design changes need to come from school funds. I think I would need a sizable grant for new tables & chairs.
Loves, love, love! We are getting ready to hatch chicks. One year we hatched ducks too. They were so fun!
Chaos is my middle name.i donāt know what to do without it.
A6 #TLSkyChat We have a door to one of our outdoor spaces (the Kās call it the libraryās backyardš«¶). I would love a story area out there or portable furniture to take to make a story area.
A5 #TLSkyChat Blinds on a remote control. I have tons of windows but opening & closing the blinds all day is a pain!!!!
We have an office w a sink, microwave, coffee maker & a copier but I would love a staff bathroom.
I have a table that is separated from the main area for teachers to use & the students are so clueless. That bring the art supplies to that table & have a ball while the teacher is sitting there working. I have to tell them to find another area. Walls are definitely needed. #TLSkyChat
A6 #TLDkyChat I love your idea of flexible walls. Our library is pretty large so we do have areas for both during our center time
Yikes! That is a lot for 1 person!
That is so exciting.
