I mean, I’ve never had a problem yeeting my work into the social media void, not really expecting anyone else to see or care about it—I happily did that for YEARS lmao—but I find the mere act of posting about a thing to be very motivating, so I think I would miss it a lot.

I would die if I was not actively creating things during that time, and it would be REALLY REALLY hard to not share anything (because I am an oversharer when it comes to art & WIPs), but I guess I could maybe keep making stuff and not post about it online… Maybe? 😖

managed to get a normal amount of sleep last night, so I spent the morning hanging out watching Hilda in bed, then I cleaned the hallway & one-third of the living room, and now I’m making cinnamon rolls out of a pie crust

ebooks are one thing & also easier to get around, but I use D2D Print for wide paperback distribution, and I don’t want to lose wide paperback distribution or have to torture myself by going back to Ingram Spark. The user experience there was one of the worst I’ve endured online. 😭

I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to make my books unavailable on so many platforms or have to deal with uploading files to so many platforms individually, but I rarely make sales via D2D platforms, so it’s possible I won’t even earn enough to cover the $12 fee by the end of the year. 🥲

losing two pets in one month seems unfair

We had to euthanize our 15yo cat, Chisana, on Tuesday. She stopped eating, so we took her to the vet, and they said she was in kidney failure. No real options besides euthanasia considering her age.

Just got her ashes back today. Pretty bummed about the whole thing.

What I really want is for there to be an evening/overnight/graveyard shift childcare center. I’m made for that, not for waking up at 6:15am. 😭

I mean… the parents pay less (per kid) than what I earn in a single month, but not by much. 💀

A coworker with far less experience told me that she was offered a $2 raise in an attempt to get her to stay when she found a higher-paying job, so I think my odds are decent. For now, I’m gonna try to cope with working two jobs and hope for the best 😪

Both jobs are essentially the same. 8 mile ebike ride from home, working in an infant/toddler classroom, stable schedule. One, I’m a teacher assistant earning min. wage but receive many paid holidays. The other, I will be lead teacher & paid significantly more but receive VERY few holidays off.

They’re so stupid!! Literally everything I would put in a cover letter is in my resume in an easier to digest format !!!!!

I never want to have to work winter break ever again after being able to spend it at home not worrying about taking unpaid time off. But I would need to be paid more. I simply cannot survive off of minimum wage. 😅

I want to be a loyal employee, but both of my employers must know that I will eventually have to choose between them if I am offered a full-time position at the new center. It will not be an easy decision for me unless I’m able to negotiate a higher wage at the paid 2-week winter break job 🥲
