AC Bradley’s Shakespearean Tragedy has something about this in one of the early lectures on the structure of tragedy. He discusses the loosening of tension in act 4 before the catastrophe in act 5. Can’t remember if he had a term for it (the shit bit?) but maybe try there?

I was working last night and had this on in the background with the sound off and even I was affected to the point where I stopped and ended up watching with sound off. Some storytelling to achieve that.
