I think it's fair to say that the Donald Trump-instigated mid-decade redistricting push has ... backfired.
And there's no guarantee that the new map will be in effect in Missouri this cycle (the MO Supreme Court will decide in May).

ok have we come to a consensus that the room rater person was a gigantic a-hole?
I for one would enjoy it if journalists stopped pretending this dinner is anything besides a chance to source up their contacts list and flatter government officials. One of the ickiest rituals in Washington, imo, and that's not a Trump-era thing.
I think one of big questions in the upcoming Democratic (and maybe Republican) presidential debates: Will you tear up contracts with big technology companies on day one?
IT'S REAL TO ME DAMMIT
I guess we can move the "Is Andrew Bailey about to become FBI director" needle closer to midnight...
Rep. Blake Moore, a Republican from Utah who is the father of an autistic son, said he was hurt by RFK Jr.’s and comments about Tylenol of autism. Said his wife doesn’t even know about she took Tylenol.
I keep telling people: Republicans have autistic kids too.
doesn't he want to send people with adhd to work farms? for the record, i don't want to go to a farm
Seriously, what is up with @politico.com publishing all these articles about RFK, Jr., that downplay just how controversial his views and policies about autism are?
I'm glad they at least used the word autism this time. But why not include a line afterward stating vaccine do not cause autism?
I mean, there's a reason why Jason Smith is the most powerful Jason in America ... and it's not because he's in the Senate...

ANNOUNCEMENT
I admit I come at this from a skewed perspective as an American with Polish and Ukrainian lineage. But it is baffling to me why any leader of an Eastern European country (like Orban) would want to become a defacto Russian puppet state.
That was the baseline 40 years ago. It was objectively bad!
I have to admit that when AI first became widespread, it was only a matter of time before placing your "brain" into digital storage would be kicked around.
But the idea that Sam Altman's brain would be valuable 200 years from now seems ... rather assumptive
Was wondering when Trump would gloat about Swalwell and instead he punches into the Swalwell news cycle by attacking the pope.
Thank you for keeping us guessing Mr. President
If Dems somehow capture the Georgia governorship, I think he will be the VP choice. Ask David Perdue how Ossoff is at debates.

The biggest reason THESE types of data centers are a bad idea is, like literally every piece of technology we've seen throughout our lifetimes, scientists will figure out how to shove a shitton of data into something smaller. And then that big warehouse is going to be useless.
For political reporters who were employed in 2006, it's an insane comeback story
New interview about my book THE LAST AMERICAN ROAD TRIP! I actually did this interview in 2025, but the magazine printed it yesterday for the paperback release.

My takeaway here is he definitely just talked into this phone to bleet this out
I think Madigan would literally rather go to jail than have Blago be responsible for his freedom.
Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway said Wednesday that the state’s biggest supplier of video gambling machines is pulling out the devices later this week.
A federal judge ruled the devices, found in bars, convenience stores and fraternal organizations, are illegal gambling machines.
