Remember the old Nokia phones? Everything comes full circle.

My parents had one of those for 10+ years. Got it when I was in high school as the "family cell phone" and my parents still used well into the 2000s.

There's a new version of those that's basically just a giant weight at the end of the arrow.

Now you get a concussion instead of an arrow through the ribs.

Sheesh the ads on this page are way too much. Impossible to read anything.

I've had this idea for a street sweeper with a giant magnet on the front to pick up all the construction debris around the triangle in NC.

I spent many thousands of dollars on tire repair over 8 years living there.

Not exactly a great sign that the vibe coding experts at Claude have this many outages on their own platform.

In the "old days" a SaaS with this many outages would've been toast.

I've started doing it a bit actually. Haven't gotten into a great rhythm yet though

Guys this is what the opposition in the US needs to be doing.

Go for the kill on literally every issue.

This is very cool and also seems unnecessary? Why not just have a train that services the ferry terminal at both ends?

I'm sure there's something I don't know about logistics.

Duolingo app screenshotshowing there are no buttons to progress to the next step

Has Duolingo completely gone to shit for anybody else recently?

Screens don't work, translations are wrong, and bugs drop my progress repeatedly.

Today I can't finish any lessons because all the buttons disappear randomly.

I wrote a LinkedIn post about this a couple weeks ago.

My company, Grizz, has been told several times by more forward thinking customers that the api is more important than the UI and they never want to log in.

Conversion rate optimization ("CRO").

Marketing folks obsessively A/B testing design variants to maximize sign-up rates. Everything else is secondary.

Clay is all the rage in sales and marketing right now but wowwww I've heard some absolutely bonkers numbers people are spending on it monthly.

What are you going to do about it?

Honestly time to do something that will get yourself arrested

This "ebikes are getting out of hand" stupidity is like reefer madness.

I have some small quibbles with scooters because they accelerate way too fast, but ebikes none at all, and most people on escooters are just calmly going from A to B, but aren't in a 2k lb death machine. Still a win.

I cannot take this seriously if you put escooters and ebikes in the same category.

Escooters race from 0 to 25kph in a heartbeat, ebikes not even close.

For every one of these anecdotes, there's a similar one from 30 years ago. My friends did all kinds of stupid stuff on regular bikes then too.

JPMorgan does missle strike analysis? What am I missing?

Sure. They love the idea of all their neighbors literally dying of thirst.

Seems plausible.

I know nothing about this but love it and want it.

Cruising around the Mediterranean countryside in it would be so iconic

This is my favorite climate change chart. Japanese monks, aristocrats, and emperors kept meticulous records of cherry blossom festivals for 1,200 years and accidentally built the world's longest climate dataset.
