meanwhile, the FNAF and SH movies underscore the fact that "lore" is not the same as (and doesn't substitute well for) narrative writing

not to say that the SH and FNAF movies HAD to be bad, just that the "smaller" movies from "smaller" games show some cools ways to approach what should be a very tricky type of adaptation to pull off

i also loved this movie. between it and Iron Lung, i feel really strongly compelled to write up something about the successes of the Iron Lung and Exit 8 adaptations (whose source material is a simple, SHORT, repetitive, gameplay-driven narrative) and the failures of the Silent Hill and FNAF films

CARRION is one of my favorite puzzle platformers that plays so much unlike a platformer that it feels like i'm lying to you.

it's in that category of game where just MOVING feels so good that just nudging the joystick around is deeply compelling.
