There's just no explanation why a 1991 mid-range set of cotton sheets from Dillard's my Aunt bought me has out lasted every other set I've had since (cheap, mid, and expensive) except that they used to be made better.
So I just have to go find a dead person's linen closet to raid.
I had a pair of sheets that lasted me from 1991 to 2008 when I traded in my full size mattress for a queen and they were still in perfect shape and butter soft, and since then I have never found a sheet set that's lasted more than 2 years.
I think I need to look for sheets at estate sales.

1/2 a jar of blackberry Bon Maman with the seeds removed 1 bunch of rosemary 3 large garlic cloves 3 tbs balsamic vinegar A bunch of fresh cracked black pepper 4oz chicken demi glace Half a stick of butter Steep the rosemary and garlic in 1 cup of boiling water for at least 30 minutes. Mix together jam, vinegar, black pepper, demi glace, and rosemary garlic tea in a pan and boil until nearly nappe, then mount with knobs of butter off the heat. Serve over pork tenderloin medallions or vanilla ice cream
Buttered rice, arugula salad, pork tenderloin medallions with blackberry rosemary balsamic sauce
