NVM i thought about it more and realized that if u build the address like this, it doesnt need to be 4byte aligned. LDR instruction requires alignment, but doing it like this doesn't.
It's probably better to just guarantee address alignment but maybe they were strapped for time.
btw, I am doing a lot of work on Konoha Senki lately. It's just bugfixes from bad behavior I cause from teh haxx0rz so theres just not much visual progress at the moment.

i think u need to relax dawg. I'm not saying you need to feel bad for them. I'm just saying we need to respect the artist by aiming for quality work.
Except the problem is that you end up with multiple versions of the same ROM circulating, and if you're googling for the game you can end up downloading the bad translation. It's good that they release the tools, but that mentality is why software sucks nowdays. Let's encourage quality work.

But also, the post did not have a "world is ending" vibe at all. He's just pointing out some newer issues in the community that disappoint him and I don't see the problem with that.

In 1999 my first video game experience was a Playstation Magazine disc at my friend's house. It had some JRPG with a bug-type (grasshopper?) enemy in a green field I think. It looks kinda like it might have been Legend of Legaia but I'm not 100% sure.

I know the answer for me is that I had more time back then. My free time is more precious now, so wasting it on a stinker feels worse.
My favorite is animated buttons that play their stupid animation then do nothing. You used to know whether a link was still loading or not because the loading bar/indicator was built into the browser, but not anymore.
Funnily enough, I know some of the people from the team that worked on that patch, and one of the translators just joined this project, so I might be able to get their help implementing it.

I do need a font replacement, and this is more possible at this stage than it was before. However, it looks like a variable width font. Not sure what the difficulty level is there, but it might be worth it.
learned a lot of good lessons cuz i had to rework the dialog extractor... but it was worth it because the code actually makes sense now
