Since Clair was healed and adoptable, she returned to Stillwater Animal Welfare in hopes of finding a family. 😔 That has not happened, and kitten season is now in full swing in Oklahoma.

Clair survived being 'humpty dumpty put back together' according to shelter staff. She deserves a home too. 💔

Claire Pearl is a young spayed female cat who was hit by a car in December. She had an amazing foster who helped her though surgery and her healing time. She is a normal cat with just one issue 💩 She needs daily Miralax + special diet!

Ron walks a lil wonky, doesn't like to climb high due to balance issues, and does bunny hops with his back legs pressed together rather than normal jumps. He's not an excitable man, so there's not the usual easily noticeable tremors we see with more moderate CH cats 😁Super mild, super sweet! 💞

We have several special needs animals in the rescue, but Simba was NOT who i was expecting to get adopted today 😂

Someone needs to adopt Ron, though. He's been with us a long time, and the only thing special abt him is mild CH! 5yo neutered male, loves other low energy cats & kids 🧡🤍 (Guthrie, OK)

Its cruel, and its not fair. He had so many people in our community who loved and supported him, animals he cared for at the rescue who adored him... and he still felt so isolated that he couldn't stand to be here anymore.

And it's really not a mystery why in Oklahoma. fucking awful.

The news did a better job correctly naming and gendering him than his own fucking father today, while Sandy and I picked up his 4 cats.

The two kittens I adopted out to an amazing young man at Guthrie Pride in 2023, are now back in my photog room as adults, confused why their dad never came home.

If you don't think all the new laws and hostility towards gender diverse folks right now is a big deal, I need you to understand that I'm about to bury the second friend in 6 months who's parents wouldn't respect their names or wishes. Neither made it to 30.
