What's behind it? Paying rent on everything we "own" and having any of it taken away or bricked at any time on some billionaire's whim if he thinks it'll make him another dollar. People rightfully want to OWN things again. No subscriptions, no DRM, no 'internet connection or it doesn't work'. *OWN*.
I want to own the music I buy. I don't want it to be stored somewhere in the cloud, where it might be available when I want to listen to it, unless it got removed from the library randomly. I don't want to pay a subscription fee. I just want to own the music I buy.
Way to miss the point. I'm tired of having to constantly pay again and again for things I purchased.
Even my 4th gen iPod is better than the crappy experience of Apple Music or tidal or any of that.
I ripped my cds and I owned my music and no MP3 was gonna demand I pay to unlock it repeatedly.
