Somehow missed this amazing thing. Just found it and...found I am already a member. Am concluding from this that, unknown to me, The Village is my true home, that I was swapped at birth and that I'm now being beckoned to return in order to fulfil the prophecy and rescue The Village from a dragon.

I’m sure we will be πŸ™‚ The time we weren’t was just a warning that nobody should try to write happy flash!

Yay! Congrats πŸ₯³ Looking forward to reading it.

I love that, Beth! Particularly love the sense of time - and the experience of feeling empathy for a piece of furniture πŸ˜‚ It has such a great character.

Wow! Thank you @scooterwriter.bsky.social for picking my story - I'm so pleased you liked it. And thank you @christopherallen.bsky.social for your ace Elements of Flash session which got this one going. And also to @judehwriter2.bsky.social for these wonderful GFFO days - looking forward to 21st!

Blimey, that's harsh. A lot of folk worked hard on that "tsunami of verbiage".

So is it just me who didn’t realise I was meant to put a massive classical statue on my kitchen island?

Relieved to read something that doesn't consider trans folks' existence or treatment to be a debate tbh. I'm insufficiently cynical, so just going to enjoy some time now imagining a future of local hormone hubs seamlessly managing lifelong care before others point out all the things I missed!

Micro-Chap eBooks 2024-5 – The Braag Presents

It'll only help you spend Β£1 on poetry (and I'm admittedly biased cos she's my wife...), but Susie Wilson's Skin the Rabbit is cool and available as an e-chapbook from the wonderful @thebraag.bsky.social here: thebraag.co/product/micr...

Yay! Cool NIF stuff at not a weird time for me. How could I say no?!

If that’s what winning looks like, England are actually doing a cracking job in Aus. Who knew?

Yes, that would be ace. Think I just want someone to drop something essential/noisy or rush around a bit. Guess no one ever took up knitting for the adrenaline rush though!

Amongst everything else, struck by the β€œlogic” that trans folk are a β€œvery, very, very” small group and so the government were being ridiculous supporting trans rights. Erm…

I’m somehow enthralled - dogs in woolly hats! - but I think it struggles with a real lack of tension. Watching people sit quietly knitting just isn’t that engaging unfortunately, and the format somehow hasn’t managed to inject the usual sense of jeopardy. Still watching though!

I'm tired just reading that πŸ˜‚

Awh man, I’m sorry. Glad the intrusive thoughts have quietened. I found attributing mine to a gang of goblins living in my head made it a bit easier to tell them to fuck off! Go easy on yourself, hour by hour, day by day πŸ«‚

I listened to the same track for 90 minutes on the way to Bristol in the summer. Great 90 minutes.
