Here is a PDF of chapter 17 - it's just 3 pages and will fill you with hope and optimism, or so I've been told share.eva.mpg.de/index.php/s/...

Hi Claude, how could I review 1,000,000 prompts in this csv and identifies unusual patterns that might indicate that the prompts do not really relate to work and instead are gaming our competition...

Hi Claude, create a Chrome plugin for me that every 1-90 minutes during working hours (randomly) first sends a prompt to the OpenAI API that requesting text for a new prompt that looks like it relates to doing work at a law firm, then the plugin opens a new tab with url XXX....

It is illegal (your jurisdiction may vary) to incite someone to kill their spouse, so perhaps not the best example

I'd like to think so. We were 8 times cheaper than the mid-tier law firm we replaced recently at a client

Well that was a surprising week with a lost laptop leading to me becoming a Mac user, and the US joining the axis of evil. Boo being mean to biglaw too, although I have a track record.

Wonder what happens next week

It's not that we don't love our neighbours, we just find such displays to be deeply awkward. Church of England doesn't really believe in much at all

Or that really is just a typical British reaction to that kind of sign. Of course, we could all be 100% Voldemort and the historical record does seem to support that

Fascinated whether the hive mind can beat Google Maps... Is this the last stand of humanity?

Very good! Strange, though, how low the uptake of document automation has been by in-house teams where interests are aligned. People do seem to prefer working hard over thinking hard. The billable hour in that light seems to make more sense!

Is there an un-paywalled version?

You highlight, as always, brilliantly, the difference between smart contracts (where this matters) and computable contracts (where it's no different from business as usual).

Which use cases have you found where computing helps? Financial contracts for sure, large complex long term deals perhaps?

I'm least confident about 2, but as the diagram shows, if it really works, of course everyone is going to be using it.

My strongly-held beliefs are that processes matter, tools are tools, and creating relationships is what matters most and that's a very human activity.

My weakly-held beliefs are that AI will (1) be generally available (there will be a lot of snake oil, but proprietary solutions will not be determinative), (2) will have impact but not profound impact, and (3) that it will come to be seen as another tool not the solution
