The Rockets part definitely not the Lakers part and I jinxed it anyways.

Obviously Wemby out injured plays a significant role. That said the Suns really effed up not securing the 7 seed. They were a last second shot away from taking the season series 3-1. Instead they ran into the OKC and referee buzz saw.
Not shedding a tear the Lakers are shredding the Rockets. Things ya love to see.
OKC is a juggernaut. Mark for size & finishing, Grayson to stretch the floor & attack the paint, and Rasheer in the rotation for length & shooting would go a long ways towards giving the Suns a chance to make a couple games interesting.
The Rasheer benching over the past few weeks is perplexing. Still not too late to correct that decision.
Dillon’s worst game of the season and it’s not just the poor shooting.

Suns are down but things aren’t all bad. We shared a halftime cupcake and Maxx got to lick the frosting.
The upside is you get your young core some run in playoff basketball, because you’re not beating OKC either way barring a miracle or injury.
Should start Dunn in the 2nd half over my guy Goodwin and inject Rasheer into the rotation for more length. This 2nd half is about figuring out what has the best possible chance of being successful going forward in this series.
Oso’s rebounding tips and Dunn’s defense keeping this game from getting into totally humiliating territory in the 1st half.
I said right at tipoff this game might be over in 20 minutes. Around the 28 minute mark the game felt over. Gave me 8 extra minutes lol.
Fucked around and found out facing OKC is a mf’er
Game 1 is tracking. Impossible task coming off the Friday play-in. Can they make G2 or G3 interesting and possibly steal a game?
Malleee-oooch?
No Big Daddy Mark Williams makes the size disparity that much more glaring against OKC. Need to bust out the rooks because small ball is not sustainable (probably screwed either way tbf).
Needs to watch PJ Tucker tape.

Brooks’ poor rebounding is a legitimate issue. Already missed two that resulted in a 2nd shot make.
The physicality Dort is allowed to play with against Book is not the physicality the Suns or basically any opponent is allowed to play against SGA.
And Doris Burke loves the no calls against OKC
Dave Pasch voice of the Arizona Cardinals has to be a positive omen for the Suns, right? Right?!
Nuggets 8 seed, 42 wins
Sonics 1 seed, 63 wins
Suns 8 seed, 45 wins
Thunder 1 seed, 64 wins

Dikembe Mutombo elated holding basketball in hands while laying on the ground after 8 seed Denver upset 1 seed Seattle
Lu Dort and Alex Caruso unfortunately will have other plans in mind.
It’s going to take Devin “Michael Jordan” Booker ala ‘22-23 playoffs to beat OKC and even that might not be enough, but I sure would love to see what happens if he gets in Playoff Book mode.
I love NBA historical discussions that are completely meaningless. Something mythical and mystical about NBA lore.
Speaking of NBA lore, LeBron and Curry at their peaks was the apex of the NBA. A part of me would love to see LeBron team up with Curry in the sunset of their phenomenal careers.
If not for some bad luck, LeBron should have ~8 championships. Otoh, he’s also lucky to have 4. Ray Allen 3pt, Draymond suspension, Bubble were all flukes and otherwise might be looking at only 1 championship. Insanity if arguably/probably the greatest basketball player ever only won 1 championship.
Re: LeBron — In his first stint with the Cavs the roster was garbage and yet he dragged borderline scrubs to All-Star games and The Finals. In his second stint those Cavs teams were historically great but they went up against arguably/probably the best team of all-time in the Warriors.
With Luka out I can merrily root for LeBron again while ignoring the Lakers association because I really do not want the Rockets to win a series.
