i looked up the two models and they were released a year apart with the 1237 comming earlier. tho the 1257 seems to be higher class player. offering a strobe light and being marketed with an ulra low mass tonearm.
the model numbers don't seem to give much of a hint to which ones come earlier. from what i can tell the tripple digit ones are the earlier ones and the 4 digit ones the later ones. and they kinda stuck to 4 digits after that.
I got a cs1237 here but i need to rewire the tonearm (annoying so i'll probably just pull the wires through directly to the cartridge and solder the other ends to the contact points cause soldering them to that tiny fucking bit of circuit board seems just.. way too annoying to make it worth it lol

Pray tell, how many of those 3K do you ACTUALLY listen to? I wouldn't be surprized if you missed at least 2.5k during the last 3 years. Go pick another streaming service, Make a playlist with 10 albums to start with.
Deezer... Exists. If you're on iphone, why the hell are you using Spotify when Apple music is 1. Cheaper 2. Offers higher Quality audio, and 3. Also pays better royalties than Spotify. Fuck, even YOUTUBE MUSIC pays more.
Sure it's owned by some crypto bros but it does what it says on the tin. It pays it's Artist the best and it's CEO has (at least Publicly to my knowledge) not invested in fuckin murder AI for drones.
If you absolutely despise actually owning the musuc you listen and the ability to burn it in a cd. Copy it onto tape or heck share ut with a friend... There are better streaming services than Spotify...
