I wrote a short post-mortem on the Bluesky outage we had on Monday. First time using pckt, it was a really nice experience tbh!

Yeah, just following Stavaβs lead on those. Have worked with them a few times before and worked well.
As promised, weβve created a policy document outlining our thoughts on AI and agentic coding (AI for software development). Weβre releasing a vote later this week for Blacksky community members to offer their feedback. We look forward to hearing from you all.

Anyone who thinks engineers using llms to help write code is the main cause of a site/service having down time has never worked with real human being engineers There's no ai smart or clever enough to fuck some shit up like person. We're exceptionally good at it.
The #collage subreddit is best kind of wholesome. There's always a lot of posters that mistake "college" and "collage". Here's one where op seems to be struggling, instead of just telling them "wrong sub", they give helpful ideas. Including, try collage/art β€οΈ www.reddit.com/r/collage/co...
Ha! I knew I wasn't the only one working on this. Mine is near poc stage. Will be fun to see yours to see what we did similar/different. This is my first atproto build, so I'm just kinda guessing at things.
This is cool. Funny, that's my RSS reading habit too. Open Feedbin > click item in list > click to open/read in original site. I still just like seeing everyone's websites.
π Decided to spend a little time journaling about how I've been trying my hand at vibe coding an RSS app.

Same! Nothing live yet, working on prod env as I type this, so maybe today/tomorrow. Just a very clunky repo at the moment github.com/tylergaw/the... Soon!
ATProto feed showing a mix of posts: a Parseword #63 game result, two "Afternoon Ride" activity posts and a "1,000 miles" milestone from app.thedistance, and a partial post about building on ATProto.
Trying out @sifa.id. Did not expect to see my WIP strava-like ATProto records show up in there. Pretty cool!
Havenβt been able to skate for almost a year (busted foot). Went and pushed around for a while today. At one point caught a rock and ate shit in the street at a busy intersection. Felt great to finally be back. #skateboarding
A two-panel paper collage. Top 1/3 is layered red and crimson cut paper forming abstract geometric shapes with a circle. Bottom 2/3 is black paper strips arranged in receding geometric lines with a black-and-white photo cutout of a bird in flight.
Four-panel timestamped sequence showing a heavily processed or glitched solar image, with orange and blue concentric arcs and a horizontal light streak. The fourth panel at 13:47:55 shows a large olive-green circle against a red background.
stopped the screen recording, but kept going with it. won't use it for anything, but will use some of the techniques
Getting started on designs is tough. Lot of times I do little throw away exercises just to get moving. Found this cool photo panel of the sun on flickr commons. Design exercise this morning was doing a lil recreation of it into an abstract graphic. #design
Likely a better place to ask this, but how are people setting up local/staging type PDSs (and other infra) for #atproto. I need to do a lot of CRUD operations on records, multiple test accounts, etc. Feels strange to do that in a prod PDSs.
The Dischord Records site has been the same for well over a decade. It uses an HTML 4.01 doctype. Full page refreshes. RSS feed. Just bought a great old record from it. Works perfectly, no notes. dischord.com

A problem with #ATProto is that once you learn about it you want to rebuild everything to use it. Maybe a good problem?

Been excited about #ATProto, working on a first thing now to understand it better. Did everyone else also get tripped up at "no floats allowed"? atproto.com/specs/data-m...
