I can understand that! It does get a bit much. I don’t mind the odd short one if it’s for pacing effect.

Mine is use of epigraphs - especially multiple quotes - at the start of books and chapters. I’m heartily sick of it.

A beta reader has made this comment about my synopsis: "It's very matter of fact, without the snarky, humorous tone of your novel. Is this the done thing with a synopsis – to focus on clarity over voice?"

I must’ve done a previous pass on my ms, changing the sequential “and”s to “and then”.

Just changed them all back.
