@pixeline.be 👋 I just found hopefully.blue, but couldn't log in, so I was wondering if it's still an active project?
I am looking for a possible ship at the marker. This is my luck with the two last days passes of EU satellite Sentinel 1.
Oh dear... 😅 That's the definition of "out of luck".

Coastal aquifers are important freshwater sources, but seawater can infiltrate as a result of groundwater over-extraction or rising sea levels. Groundwater can worsen or mitigate this threat, depending on how it is managed.
Hi Frederik, just exploring the dataset. It's indeed an outstanding advantage compared to existing flood event datasets. One major concern I have is, that I couldn't find any sources of events in the data. Is there a way to find out the source of a specific event?

An absolutely stunning view of a large haboob sweeping across Texas.
I’m not sure it is open outside Denmark, but maybe you can stream it from here (our national broadcaster):

Effective Property #Flood Resilience (#PFR) means considering every possible entry point for #floodwater. From doors to vents, sealing off all access is crucial for maximum protection.

Danish election campaign first poll:
- center left bloc almost has a majority; center right far from
- centrist government (like the current) is an option again
- social democrats do well (compared to recent polls, not comp w/ 2022 elections)
- liberals do poorly, general fragmentation on the right
Wow... that's super cool!
✨Editor's Pick✨
Erosion in mountain-basin systems driven by long-period climate variations is buffered by an erosion saturation effect, which weakens peak erosion and leads to reduced sediment flux.

That's the usual developer lifecycle, no?
Having an idea for a side project -> buying instantly a domain -> get distracted by another great idea -> buying a domain -> *start reading from the beginning*
I see comments that I disagree with every hour & every day here on Bluesky, from people I generally agree with. I’m perfectly ok with supporting people I mostly agree a lot with, against people I overwhelmingly disagree with. We don’t have to agree on everything to work together against common foes.
Agree that blue sky is the new science twitter. Though I still feel like I get a lot more chat on mastodon (though not necessarily as much from other scientists). It probably helps that I'm on the fediscience server there.
SUPER excited to see this live in the world. In particular hugely admire this team's dedication to openness and transparency about methodology, code, assumptions.
Every tool has strengths and weaknesses, but sharing openly is how the whole community can improve. Big kudos @carbonplan.org
Devastating floods have hit Portugal, Spain & Morocco in the past days, causing loss of life & billions of Euros in damages.
