still really proud of this mahjong style arrangement of Baka Mitai i made for siivagunner www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7rj...

here have me next to an enormous lego sculpture at the Mall of America
i should post more pictures from vgmcon here. i just got home and have post-con depression i haven't felt in quite some time. i certainly haven't felt post-con depression after my past few magfests because i've gone there so many times but this was really something to do. would love to go again.
greetings from VGMCon in minneapolis! please enjoy this video of me playing baka mitai on a big toy piano
i just wish the website had the option to have homestuck's page numbers start at 1 instead of 1901, but i can live without it
even though i'm pissed at hussie for taking the unofficial homestuck collection away from us for all its cool features, i'm at least glad that homestuck.com is finally usable again. pretty sure this was mainly the doing of Kohi so props to them for doing such a bangup job
jake was a little trickier for me to write, my approach was basically to focus on his positive personality first then insert corny old man words into his lines as they occur to me. i think i pulled it off decently enough
john is ridiculously easy for me to write. i wonder what writing him feels like for people who aren't as john-like as i am? maybe they find themselves revising his usage of words to be simpler though i'm usually satisfied with the lines i write for him after one go
so the time of year plus me being a little sick inspired me to write a short homestuck fic about john and jake archiveofourown.org/works/83092736
i say "bidded" as the past tense of "bid" because even though dictionaries say it's wrong it looks correct to me so screw them
something frustrating about andrew hussie is that he knows how to write moments in a story that make you go "d'awww" so some people might never guess he's such a dick. but he is.
30 years ago today, Principal Skinner purchased fast food to disguise as his own cooking at an unforgettable luncheon with Superintendent Chalmers.
#TheSimpsons episode โ22 Short Films About Springfieldโ first aired April 14, 1996.
this song is literally caliborn in musical form. the most sinister yet lovable badass you'll ever meet
isn't it neil banging out the tunes day?
has meant the world to me, i meant to say
i will just say, there's nothing quite as special as friendships formed through being homestuck fans
happy 17th anniversary to homestuck, a webcomic that ever since i first read it in 2014 has the world to me! but also, fuck you andrew hussie
I TOLD YOU DOG!
the real question, is the guy sweet bro and the girl hella jeff, or the other way around?
throwback to vienna 2015: this eurovision song (and especially its live performance) is so bad it's good. almost feels like sweet bro and hella jeff in musical form www.youtube.com/watch?v=FE1K...
i will be there! i won't be on the panel but i will watch as a guest. this will be my first time attending a siivagunner event outside of magfest. hoping to see some siiva fans there.
am i the only one who loves belgium's song for eurovision this year? i'm not expecting it to qualify to the final at all but nonetheless i find it a total bop, really fun to listen to www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sfI...
www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFGR... dogequest is still the greatest video i have ever made (all the way back in 2014) and nothing else will ever come close
this is a wonderful gem of finnish folk music. it is a crime that Butterflies by 3+2, a song i absolutely hate, qualified over this
and the series concludes with jade, i drew something a little different for her. maybe i should draw more things like this
and now roxy! this was a fun one
a waiter at arby's misspelled my name as "scdric" today and i can't fucking stop laughing
SGM is great for people who just want to compose a cool song without worrying too much about the perfect samples to use. i feel it's popular among my generation of homestuck fan musicians for exactly that reason
i spent most of today composing a song using almost entirely the SGM and ultimate megadrive soundfonts. i can see why toby fox still makes songs out of SGM to this day, it's a versatile all-purpose soundfont
the crowd stood up cheering after the final song of the musical ended. i never got to do cool stuff like that in MY high school. but hey, if i ever have kids i could experience them doing high school from a brand new perspective.
