I expect this movement will have an eastern wave.

If we assume 2 provinces change a year (spring and fall). You'll get it in about 4 years.

I'll get it in 2, but I also expect it would be impossible for ON and QC to not switch at the same time.

I learned to like Double Dragon, and see it as a puzzle. The different enemies require different tactics. You want to level up correctly at the beginning, etc.

Finished it this evening on the Retro Brawler Bundle on PS4 with heavy use of save states.

It's nice to sit outside for 10 minutes and just listen.
I can hear Turkeys, a woodpecker, and a myriad of other birds

Exactly.
It also has a big community with excellent plugins so you can do all the weirdness you want with it.

You should document your game inside your game: youtu.be/5PJRCz0t7yY?...

Played a fair bit of this today (NES) in his honour. Not a super fan of Double Dragon, but I'm a huge fan of Kunio-Kun.

Rest in Power Kishimoto-san.

I've been seeing more and more retro gaming youtube channels that use fake AI screenshots of games that don't exist for their thumbs, AI voice overs and scripts that feel like they were written by AI.

At that stage, what's even the point of following a creator?

There's also one in there for Best Performance by @eliastoufexis.bsky.social

Could not be more proud of all the work the team put into this game. Bravo everyone!

Decided to start a backloggd. Hopefully it'll help me focus on finishing games instead of having multiple games on the go at once.

Right now: Dark Cloud

Yeah, for sure a single source of truth is super important and I can totally see that for the project file used by your tool. I do like, however, to have characters seperate from Items from weapons from other data in a game.

Maybe it's just me... Hahaha

So conceptually similar to castleDB? I like what I can do with CastleDB, but the tool is not very user friendly and the output less so, as it expects you to have 1 single giant JSON for everything in your game.

Wop May stands facing the camera, dressed in a heavy leather flight jacket with a belt and multiple straps. He wears gloves and holds an object in one hand. His hair is short, and he has a serious expression. Behind him is part of an aircraft, including visible structural elements and equipment, indicating an aviation setting.

From being chased by The Red Baron, to his involvement in The Race Against Death and Hunt for the Mad Trapper, Wop May became a legendary Canadian pilot.
A celebrated bush pilot, he even developed the concept of para-rescues.
This is his story.

For a good while I listened to the soundtrack of CBFD in a loop. @robinbeanland.com did such good work on it.

And great job on this remix too! That game has a special place in my heart.

A few years ago I was at an event here in Montreal and some kids were showing a game with a CGA pallette (green, red, yellow). I was like, you guys were not born when I was playing games in these colours. Hahaha

This actually reminds me of Dawn of Heroes (NDS), the first game I worked on. Fights were 5 or 6 rounds only and your fighters would have very strong skills with 25% success rate. We actually did it so it would fail 3/4. So once you succeeded it really wasn't worth trying to use the skill again.

In Mordheim, we did something similar. Everytime you failed we would make the next roll easier. As soon as you succeeded a roll everything reset to "true".

If I recall we would give a 10% boost every fail.

We did this during early access. Players were complaining failing 90%+ 3 times in a row.
