Yesterday after worship we learned about what we can do as a congregation and community to help our immigrant families be safe, healthy, and loved. Learning about the legal landscape of ICE deportations is a part of the pathway. To all our immigrants, refugees, and asylum-seeker, we are with you! ๐๐๐ฝ

We want to follow more trans and queer pastors and faith leaders. Anyone have suggestions? ๐ฉท๐ณ๏ธโ๐๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ
I loved @chrislhayes.bsky.social lively & intellectual conversation w/ the brilliant best-selling author Michael Lewis. Given that the event was hosted by the Book Passage but the venue was @sfcalpres.bsky.social, Michael noted that yes, you were literally preaching to the choir! #renewableenergy
Thank you @chrislhayes.bsky.social, Michael Lewis, and our partner Book Passage for an incredibly illuminating conversation tonight. Let's move forward doing good work both in personal endeavors and in unity. All voices are needed ๐
We're excited for you to be here!

โIn Godโs kingdom, immigrants and refugees, transgender people, the poor and the marginalized are not at the edges fearful and alone. They are at the center of the Gospel story โฆ They are the bearers of the salvation of the world.โ

Wonderful!!! Your pastors and congregation sound wonderful โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
Amen!!! So happy you found. Could I ask what denomination? We're Presbyterian
We are first and foremost members of the kingdom of heaven. Our marching orders come from God. Not governments, not presidents.
We continue to welcome the asylum seeker and immigrant, love and recognize our trans neighbors, and honor Black history. Amen ๐ฉท
Too few characters allowed - or start having the conversation about it in your congregation. There is a side that Jesus walked. If you stay impartial or neutral in this time, it is not the work of Christ.
Pastors are called to do the work of Jesus. Jesus flipped tables in God's house because merchants were using it to profiteer. Jesus called to love thy neighbor and welcome strangers. We recommend that if your pastor ISN'T saying something about this, then find a new church. THIS is the Lord's work ๐ฉท
๐ฎโ๐จ๐ฎโ๐จ disappointed but not surprised. We will continue to work towards justice ๐ฏ๐๐ฝ
