I think it's been renamed Schroedinger's Strait now.

When any of our dogs when I was growing up did this kind of thing my Mum used to call it a 'mad 5' (I think because she hoped it would only last 5 minutes!).
Count Down to Launch - A Party to Murder 23rd April #bunchcourtneyinvestigation - 10 days! #crimefiction #newbooks janedwardsblog.wordpress.com/2026/04/13/c...
It was a perfect show for Sunday nights and I had decided not to binge watch on iPlayer but watch the two episodes at the time they were shown on BBC1. Sadly, BBC Scotland decided to show a boring election programme in the 8 to 8:30 slot and eisode 9 at 8:30 so episode 10 vanished.
I think, like Reform, the Greens will tend to fall apart when it comes to coping with mundane real world problems. The question is whether voters will realise this in time to stop them causing chaos.
It's #IndieApril. Are you a U.K. based indie crime fiction author? I cannot recommend joining the UK Crime Book Club enough. With 30k + members, monthly newsletter, in group video interviews and more, it's a great place to connect with your audience. www.facebook.com/groups/ukcri...
This is weird - the plot of one of my mysteries revolved round maple syrup smuggling, but only because that was the least likely crime I coukd think of!
I think this is a good strategy - I've been making more on Kobo than on Amazon for the last few months (for no apparent reason!).
This is a bit alarming as one of mine still lives with me.
All 30 book covers in the Pitkirtly Mysteries series, with a lilac/blue banner in the middle and text 'Pitkirtly 30'/
I don't often remember to mention my mystery novels here, but I thought I would post this once to let people know I've now published 30 novels in my Pitkirtly Mysteries series, set in a fictitious town on the Fife coast. Available as ebooks from Amazon, Kobo, Apple etc, usually well reviewed.
They are much more involved with local issues than any of the other parties. I am on a local committee with 2 of our LD councillors and they work really hard.
When I saw this I wondered what stone he had crawled out from under... (incidentally I do vote Lib Dem sometimes)

Isn't tbis just a quote from the Simpsons' Streetcar song?

I don't know why anyone should be surprised by the Baltic nations leading the way - Finland in particular has been preparing for it for years.
In my experience they are usually much more clued-up about local issues than any other politicians.
"Fund social care like it matters."
We're calling on the Scottish Government to reverse its budget decision which could create an estimated £19 million funding shortfall in the social care sector.

I flew too near the sun and my Kindle Fire crashed!
The abdication crisis?
I was on a committee with an Edinburgh councillor until a few years ago and he often referred to 20 minute Neighbourhoods - 'low traffic neighbourhoods' seem to have developed from that, only in a way that means they don't have to bother providing more facilities to enable people to give up cars.
I was just about to comment on the Edinburgh situation too. I don't see the concept itself as Stalinist, but the councillors who are forcing through the road closures of minor roads and causing more congestion on the nearest, already congested major road, have acted like dictators in some ways.
It seems to me we are more likely to be doomed by human stupidity.
This is really bad news. My brother nearly died of complications from measles but some people seem to have reverted to thinking of it as an inevitable childhood illness.
6/10 hurray!
I completely agree with this review - great series, convincing history and particularly good narration.
Earlier this week, we posted about Catherine Hogg Blair for her birthday! 🎂
