Let's call this policy what this is.
It's socialism. It's Leftism. And it's curing actual ills. Righting institutional wrongs.
It's not coming from someone who is infallible, or someone who is always correct.
It's coming from someone who promised to help and is trying to keep those promises.

WaPo says that Warsh “promised independence” and “demonstrated seriousness” during his hearing. When asked who won the 2020 election, he basically hid under the table. Promises of independence from someone so cowed and cowardly are less than meaningless.
Later in the 1970s, Roger Freeman — a key educational adviser to Nixon then working for the reelection of California governor Ronald Reagan — spelled out quite precisely what the conservative counter attack was aimed at preventing: "We are in danger of producing an educated proletariat. That's dynamite! We have to be selective on the we allow to go through higher education. If not we will have a large number of highly trained and unemployed people." The two most menacing institutional sources of the same described by Freeman were obviously those two great public university systems charging no tuition: the University of California and the City University of New York. Governor Reagan was able to wipe out free tuition at the University of California. Source: Vietnam and Other Fantasies, by H Bruce Franklin

He can’t say no to this because, technically, he was on the clock at the Olympics. We paid for that and there’s video of him getting ripped. So we already have proof of at least one instance.
I don't think this is correct. The 2026 Rs are in full blown panic already.
Remember, Democrats have repeatedly advanced measures to ban partisan gerrymandering and Republicans have voted against them time after time.
This is the game Republicans wanted to play. OK, then.
Will Kash Patel’s libel suit work? None of the Trump & Trump adjacent lawsuits are actually lawsuits. They are ways to extract cash payments with regulatory threats. The lawsuit is a vehicle to capture the money. If the co has no regulatory exposure the suit goes nowhere. NYT, Atlantic are examples.
And the Supreme Court is sitting on a Alito-authored decision that could throw 19+ minority-majority districts in the South to the GOP in this election or the next, in blatant defiance of a Voting Rights Act overwhelmingly renewed by. Republican Congress.
I have opposed gerrymandering every single time it has come up. It’s a perversion of the political process. I voted Yes in this election without hesitation. Unilateral disarmament is unacceptable.
I'm sure Alito is fuming about the Virginia vote and itching to strike down the rest of the Voting Rights Act as petty revenge.
But Democrats are likely retaking the House, maybe the Senate, no matter what SCOTUS does now.
Killing the VRA would just be a final insult that speeds court reform.
How many recommendations do you folks need?
Get up into this Baltimore tale. It's beautiful.
Last imagining, he was Jesus Christ.
Now, a Jedi warrior.
Speculate please on the next craven AI image of this gibbering moron that the White House will shit-fling onto the internet. Wrong answers only.
"Court documents show Trump knew he was going to tear down the East Wing at least two months before doing so, but he never told the public."
Same, AOC. Same.
We should just give her his job.
I bet she's never sexually harassed anyone or sold her soul to lobbyists and other nation's governments.
Women are going to be cleaning up this mess and we all know it.
Before tonight ends
I love great photography & love AOC @aoc.bsky.social
Brilliance today as AOC nailed RFKJR on fraud and incompetence during today's Congressional hearing
AOC...we should clone her
This great photograph taken WSJ reporter Liz Essley
RFKJR , SO INCOMPETENT
SO VILE
I love how AOC goes to bat for us. America needs her in higher office.
Whose table is he sitting at for the White House Correspondents Dinner?
Oh
Everything’s fine
a Trump post that says "has anybody looked at how badly the country of spain is doing. Their financial numbers, despite contributing almost nothing to NATO and their military defense, are absolutely horrendous. Sad to watch!!!"
stupid Trump tweet for many reasons but one of which is that Spain had higher GDP growth than the US over the last year (3% vs 2%)
Three women out. Not a single dude
I don’t get it. I honestly don’t
CBS News has invited Pete Hegseth and Stephen Miller to join them at that execrable dinner, and now, via @oliverdarcy.bsky.social, we learn that CBS’s parent, Paramount, has invited Brendan Carr.
Yes, that Brendan Carr.

It’s utterly ludicrous and corrupt for any journalist to go to this event.
As a matter of principle, you can either have a dinner that celebrates the First Amendment or you can have a dinner that features Donald Trump. You can’t have both because the president holds the freedom of the press in contempt. www.mediamatters.org/donald-trump...
NOTED: Of the 5,481 PhDs in economics awarded in the US between 2021 and 2024, 65% went to folks who were neither US citizens nor permanent residents. link.springer.com/article/10.1...
Spending up 15.5% at gas stations...
People were spending last month, whether they wanted to or not
Retail Sales +1.7% YoY, best since Jan 2023
I for one would enjoy it if journalists stopped pretending this dinner is anything besides a chance to source up their contacts list and flatter government officials. One of the ickiest rituals in Washington, imo, and that's not a Trump-era thing.
Oh mannnn
