Oh right. That's another I have stored in muscle memory! And I think I remember to do 0150 since the 0 on both my numpads is longer, while the shorter "en dash" is 0151 if I'm typing a numerical range.
Oy, I guess I'm a style nerd on all my other nerdisms?

Oh, this is cool! I have known that station as a regular visitor to London since like 2011, so it's neat to see that grand new entrance after a long period to dig it out and build it--and I immediately thought "oh, what about the 'Big Tube' there?" (As I and my nerd friend calls that other line.)
Oh wait isn't it 0241? (lol it's like muscle memory to me at this point so I never think about it)
Also? What a fantastic building that venue is in.
And easy to get to without a car! Just ride the D to Wilshire/Western!

Maybe 'Lil Battersea can become 'Lil Tate Modern!
I love a badass sis! Mine used to bring me and friends cheese and crackers because we're all sweet but, in adulthood, once literally told me to "man up" once when I started crying about a guy I liked—while coming down from anesthesia in the pillow aisle at a Target, escorting me home from a surgery!
This is paralyzingly cringy for me to imagine doing, myself, but I think you're right!
I wonder what would be the appropriate response via faking a phone call (or calling a bestie). There is so much to choose from!
I just remembered that this (I'm up late so psychologically Saturday) morning a pigeon got spooked alongside my building, flew away in a hurry, directly into my face.
Fully bodied by a pigeon.
I think we really now are in a simulation.
Todd is a good follow
It’s a good question, let’s clear the air:
1) Disco is awesome, like 25 all-time classic tracks in a 4 year span,
2) Disco was hated because it was queer, brown, and black,
3) Disco was hated because it paired women and men in a different power dynamic.
4) “Disco Sucks” was a “ MAGA” test run.
I wonder if I added mini, multicolored marshmallows if it'd become a fancy ambrosia salad.
*Pâté
My French is terrible.
Plucky pickle dip, a packet of Ritz crackers and a half-eaten trapezoid of "mousse de foie de canard au porto" (pork and duck liver mousse).
Tonight I had the strange urge to have Ritz crackers with some duck patê and then thought "I don't have cornichons but I /do/ have pickle dip.
So I guess I invented upper Midwest charcuterie tonight. 🤷♂️
I remember how liberal the Catholic Church was as a kid on the southwest side. Before I became an atheist, the priests I knew from being a volunteer at the church (sound guy, for fun) weren't upset that I was questioning the existence of a god. In fact we'd engage in lively, candid discussions.
Why must we have a truly inspiring and beautiful moment in human history while also in a historically disastrous period for humanity? The dichotomy of today is insane.
But I'm glad we had the former today and this last week to remind us we could just make good choices and reach for the stars. 😭
One Thing in One Place A Single Time
(Flight attendants often find this absolutely adorable and then bring me treats because I'm not a jerk and I made their day a little better by not taking myself too seriously in a cute way and always being super gracious and not grumpy at them for anything they can't control.)
Very neatly zhooshed-up premium economy long-haul meal.
Also if I'm fortunate enough to be on long haul flight, I take meticulous care to make my main cabin meal extra fancy looking and get a cute picture of it because I like to pretend I'm on PanAm in the 70s or something.
Is true. Here are some ridiculously luscuous things I'm very fortunate to be able to have consumed from a recent visit to see friends in London.
Oh god I'll never unsee this.
I just heard jingle bells in an ad while taking a scrolling break.
This is not acceptable.
💯 Sure, some boards may wish to focus on capital backlogs, but that's because they have to choose between electrification (and the operational cost to maintain it) and not letting what they have crumble.
It's not the execs. It's the current system.
Like, also, it just looks like Chicago-style pizza (not deep dish, what I grew up having every other Friday, where you'd pay the store-hired delivery driver in cash and tell him to keep the change)... Just, like, not exactly right?
Reach out to your state electeds and ask for a progressive vehicle weight fee like Washington DC
I've used Airportr in London to fly BA and it's pretty great. Not cheap but also not ridic to pay for 2 bags to be picked up by 10a in NE London for a 3:45 flight from LHR and have time for lunch, a candy spree, not navigate Underground steps w/suitcases and for hardly more than rideshare. No fuss.
💀
This place (and both their old and new location on Wentworth) is such a gem! I'm always dragging visitors in when wandering these areas and they're consistently wowed. The baby moon cakes are an absolute favorite.
Like, I've given to maybe two campaigns in the last five or ten years but my phone is suddenly blowing up after I gave to Kamala's campaign. ActBlue could totally mitigate this but refuses to, and everyone on the left invariably gets shunted through them.
