Thank you! The rusted Norlanders are the ones that embraced the destructive force of the Rusting, so I wanted her and the things associated with her to stand apart from the natural environment they now go against, while also being evolved from being part of that world in the past.

Here's a close up for a better view of some of the details:
Queen Forfallen, for the D&D Forgotten Realms books.

The Queen of the Rusting affected Norlanders. This was a fun one to tackle, I had worked on the concept side of things for this book as well and it felt nice to come full circle on a finished interior.

Secrets of the Dead - 14x18 Oil on Cradled Board
This one was for the bonus card in Gale's Ambition Secret Lair Drop. I've never given the tome to Gale in my games, I'll be honest I just save scummed that on my Tav, but it was fun to paint him with it for this scene.

Thank you! Glad you spotted him, I wanted to include at least one being annoyed by one of the pests doing a play bow at him haha.
Lluwen, Exchange Student - 14x18 Oil on Board
I had a lot of fun with this one, the character is just so charming and the idea of him tenderly feeding his little pest friends was just adorable and wholesome, especially considering how pests are normally treated.

A close up of the figure on this one as well.
Emeritus of Conflict - 18x24 Oil on Cradled Board
This was a fun one for the Secrets of Strixhaven set, my tiniest brushes got a bit of a workout on all the costume details.

I started using a pane of framing glass instead after Lars suggested it, just so my paranoid brain can rest haha.
I'm gonna show him this right now.
In a cosmic void, a woman lies holding a dark orb. The orb is heavy, its gravity drawing all of the light and heat from the universe around her. Stars, drained of their energy, stain the greying canvas of space.

Painted for Magic: The Gathering's "Edge of Eternities"
Thank you, that means a lot that you liked it that much! :)
Chorale of the Void, for MTG Edge of Eternities. When I saw the Monoists in the style guide I was hoping to get an assignment that tackled that faction, so I was stoked to get to do this one.

i almost never like my art on release but.... I'm really proud of this one!!!!! Hope everyone enjoys Lorwyn, it's one of my favorite planes. I got to work on it from concept stage to final art ^^ <3
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and signing cards at MagicCon Vegas this Friday! I'll be bringing along a new assortment of artist proof originals and a new lineup of colors for my handmade leather dice bags.
A Ritual Darkly.

Spirit token for Magic: The Gathering Tarkir: Dragonstorm, by the artist Zara Alfonso.
Teval's Judgment, my one piece in Tarkir. This one was a fun challenge to get across the more abstract concept of preparing to be judged to receive either pain or a benefit.

Just got back from a very fun MagicCon Chicago where it was great to see everyone, chat with con goers, and sign cards all weekend. While I was away, @amico.bsky.social shared his fantastic article with the Waterhouse master study I made for him on an artist proof, I'm happy to finally show it off!
My latest article at Commander’s Herald—building a Magic deck based on @madelinemiller.bsky.social’s CIRCE with the help of some very special art made by @alixbranwyn.com!

Thanks man!
Also coming along to MagicCon this year, my newly designed leather dice bags that come with a handy life counter pocket and include a life counter. They have a walnut or padauk accent on the front with a brass inlay, and come in a variety of hand stitched leathers.
Looking forward to seeing everyone and signing cards at MagicCon Chicago! This time around I'm bringing a few pre painted proofs I'll have for sale at the booth, all done in inks and 24k gold leaf.

Thankfully they didn't have shark breasts in mind, there were none in the style guide we worked from. ;) It was really just about body shapes and the ratios of shoulder/waist/hip or how lithe or stocky forms were.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that you enjoy it as much as you do. :)
Marauding Mako, my one card for Aetherdrift. This was a goofy assignment, but I had fun with it. The brief asked for a female shark folk and that took some push and pull, I chose mako anatomy for the head shape before the card was named.
